You're talking to Serenity. And, Early... Serenity is very unhappy.

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

But then again the end is pretty Dadaist or at least some sort of absurdism.

Yeah, I am looking forward to what I have gathered is a pretty WTF-y finale.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I really don't want the priest to compromise his vows. I like a dirty priest, but I prefer it if the narrative starts off with him fallen. I don't want to see him get dirty--not on this show, anyway.]

By which I mean the 4400 priest. The other priest can be a V or a sucker. I'm good with that. I like the paranoia about who is a what--I think that the reveal of sleepers so early has a good payoff in that regard.

I'm surprised that they're waking Wash up with the knowledge that Penny (I suppose I could learn the character's names--in time) knows about the sleepers. I wonder if she will be able to continue doing her job.

I love Morris Chestnut but his fiancée is a bit of a dishrag.

Penny (I suppose I could learn the character's names--in time)

Juliet.

Penny is on FlashForward.

I don't even watch Lost. Shows how far away I am from remembering stuff. What's her name on V?

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Or as I prefer to call them, "chick from Lost" and "other chick from Lost."

Erika.

Yeah. It's an oldie but goodie as far as sci-fi plot points go.

FlashForward is awesome because you have Penny, Hobbit, Captain Norrington, and Shakespeare.

t edit John Cho is just John Cho, because he's awesome like that. However, the judges will accept "Sulu" as a variant.

I googled Penny Juliet Lost and the first result is Sarah, Penny, Juliet, and Colleen are blonde Lost charaacters [sic] that are easy get confused on a page titled Lost Blonde Secondary Characters. I feel a bit better about my brainfart.

However, the judges will accept "Sulu" as a variant.

Will they also accept Harold? Although that seems very lonely without Kumar.

Having watched a couple episodes of Kitchen Confidential this weekend, we will also accept "Teddy."

The Prisoner has more of an overall arch than most of the era.

Okay. I'll maintain that it's not one by contemporary standards, and that's people should not watch the show expecting anything of the kind. Especially now that "arc" mostly means "We'll spend 12 episodes teasing you about what happens in the 13th," but that's someone else's rant.

But about 2/3rds are "plot of the week" (equivalent of monster of the week).

Yes, and I think those episodes are the point of the show. Much more than the opening & closing are. I don't agree that people should approach the show like those episodes are throwaways.
