oh, how I loved Santa Barbara! Cruz Castillo was THE MAN.
I think we've talked about this before but Cruz and Eden were my favorite couple ever. I quit watching once they broke up.
'Get It Done'
A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

Thanks, Tom.
There are only six episodes.
I am not a number of episodes, I am a free - oh wait, yes, there are six.
But IIRC, it's a miniseries the same way BSG was (more of a backdoor pilot).
They aired a clip of Sir Ian playing mindgames with the character played by Ruth Wilson (whom I'm v. happy to see in the series since I loved her in Jane Eyre) in a commercial break during the Mad Men finale, and it was *fantastic*. I've never watched the original series, but I'm very much looking forward to checking out this incarnation.
There's a 9-minute trailer for The Prisoner available for free on iTunes.
And I LURVE Ian McKellan, but
I've only seen the first ep so far (we were sent the first 2, but the sound was so bad on the pilot we decided to wait for the broadcast), but the setup is very different from the original series. So a lot of the best things about the original won't be in this version, but I really think that's for the best.
(However, there a few AMAZINGLY AMAZING nods to the original in the pilot that made me sit up and clap. This is a show with a LOT of thinking behind it.)
There was a woman on the subway this morning wearing a jacket just like McGoohan's in the original series. I initially thought she was some kind of hard-core geek, but no, she was just a preppie.
I was happy to see Rover in the trailer, but I'm very curious to see how they update that bit of terrifying cheese.
If people want more details, I'm happy to move this thread over to Spoilers, btw.
oh, how I loved Santa Barbara! Cruz Castillo was THE MAN. He was so much the man, he didn't even need a whole first name.
Did John Allen Nelson even own a shirt back then?
