I miss me some vintage Jack.
Me, too. I miss Jack in all his competent cranky awesomeness. I didn't like the tomfoolery they went for in the later seasons: to me, Jack's always been highly competent, and funny with an edge of bitter underneath.
A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

it's that I don't understand how it got burnt during the blackout. I'd have thought it'd be one place nothing would crash into, since nothing would be flying over it. Errant Marine One?
As others said, National Airport is super close to downtown DC, so I'm guessing although the White House and Capitol and all that are in the No Fly Zone, if you had planes approaching for landing, and then everyone blacked out, it's entirely possible that they'd end up crashing into downtown DC.

Entirely possible, what with velocity and all.
It's amazing how quiet it is living less than 10 minutes from the airport in this age of no-fly. No more fumes or roaring.
Yay!
apparently SyFyWhy has ordered a 13 ep remake of Being Human. [link]
why must the US try to remake everything? why?!
What? Why???!!??
There is NO REASON to remake BH. It's perfectly fine just as it is.
Sigh.
exactly.
What rubbish. Why can't they just air the second season of the wonderful original and leave well enough alone?
