Mal: You tell me right now, little Kaylee, you really think you can do this? Kaylee: Sure. Yeah. I think so. 'Sides, if I mess up, not like you'll be able to yell at me.

'Bushwhacked'

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

ita,

where did Air Force 2 crash? Was it near the WH?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I dunno, I watched the first 5 episodes of SJA and just couldn't connect with the kiddiness of it.

I was actually impressed with the sense of jeopardy I found imbued in it, knowing the target age range, and that everyone would be okay in the end. Especially towards the end of the first season.

Sanctuary is okay, but of the series I watch on Sci Fi it's my least favourite, and Kate's really not helping.

Didn't know if everyone had seen the ep yet.

If it's aired in the US, no whitefont.

The WH doesn't have a runway, does it? I thought it was just the Marine lines of helicopters that ran there.

Kate's really not helping.

Truly. I have high hopes for Druitt, Tesla and the core guys to overshadow the new elements. They should not have tried to fix what wasn't borked.

Copy that.

“Not dead yet!”

I thought it was the Capitol that was crispy, not the White House. I'll go back and watch again tomorrow to make sure, but I'm almost certain it was the Capitol.

Of course it was the Capitol. It was a dome that was burnt. That makes a bit better sense, although I'd imagine large swathes of Washington would be no go zones.

This is true. We used to have a lot of small craft overhead. Not any more.

Defying Gravity:

Phew. The last episode was INtense.

I'm confused, but I don't seem to mind. I really do like Livingston. All the characters, really, except for Nadia who seems only to exist to be annoying.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

If pilots and air traffic controllers were all unconscious for two minutes and seventeen seconds, isn't it possible that a plane could wander into and crash into a no-fly area?

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I wish they'd just bring Tesla on permanently and put Jonathan Young's name in the credits. He's one of my favorite parts of the show.

I don't hate Kate as much as some, but I do consider a scene focusing on her to be a wasted scene. I liked Ashley somewhat better. And I'm not wild about the way the gender ratio on the show is skewing now. Maybe they could bring in some other secondary characters who are female? Amanda Tapping's great and all, but I'd like to see some more women doing interesting things.
