I'm sorry. You were going to ask me to choose, right? Did you want to finish?

Zoe ,'War Stories'

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

I read the article, but didn't really look at it origins. ( bad librarian, no biscuit). Looking more at it , point and laugh is a little too fatuous for me. Not sure what a good response is ....other than a sideways look and a slow backing away from the crazy.

However, I am pleased to be in a conspiracy I didn't know I was in.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Do the Illuminati offer cinnamon rolls and hot guy-on-guy porn? I'm awfully weak for programming if cinnamon rolls and hot guy-on-guy porn are involved.

Seriously, it's sites like that one that make me reconsider being armed.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Um. Yeah. Sure.

To be fair, he does have a point soley regarding how men are portrayed in advertising and sitcoms, where being able to tie one's own shoes unaided seems to be the zenith of male competence and agency. But so far as I can tell, the Everybody Loves Raymond Effect hasn't resulted in male politicians and corporate CEOs being marginalized in favor of their fiendish distaff Illuminati replacements.

No, I don't think I will - me, quoting Captain Steve Rogers, to all of 2020

Gorg agree with Whiny Nerd Man.

Gorg miss when Sci Fi was all for men-folk and had more men-folk with ray-guns going "pew pew pew" and men-folk would go "Ha ha evil Emperor Man-Folk, I have pew pew-ed Emperor Man-Folk's giant tower of doom!" And then women-folk would say "Oh, Hero Man-Folk, you are so Hero Man-Folk-ly!" and make space sandwiches.

Gorg cannot think of one, not one single Sci Fi movie where women-folk were necessary...what?

Oh, right. Well, Barbarella, sure, but...hm? Well, okay, Alien and Aliens... but Alien 3 and Alien 4 sucked and that...what? Well, of course Gorg spank to Princess Leia, she so cool, what with the "pew pew" and the "get walking carpet out of way" and...who? Andre Norton? Oh, she good writer, I like...yes, okay, Anne McCaffrey, though Gorg get so tired of Pern he want to puke fewmets...

...LOOK! Gorg just want Sci Fi to be...um...good. Which...

...yes, okay, Starbuck hot.

Gorg give up.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

I'm so talented I'm simultaneously @@, pointing and laughing, and backing away slowly running the FUCK in the other direction. Take THAT, Gorg-alikes!

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

A comment from Scalzi's respone, meant (I hope) tongue in cheek:

Seriously, if there were no woman in Scifi, who, I say who, would wear the Leia bikini at the conventions.

May I suggest John Barrowman?

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

Seriously, their faces. OMG. Tricia Helfer does not look like that.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Grace Park's hip doesn't seem to attach to her spine in a natural way.
