Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

Yeah this group is nuts and deserves ridicule and contempt. At the same time, that is not to say they can't be dangerous. These are the extreme end of the "Mens Right Activist" groups. The guy who shot up the aerobics class was from another branch. (The shooter was from the "I'm oppressed cause I can't get super models to lay me" caucus, but similar in extremism, hatefulness and violence of the rhetoric.)

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

But are the illuminati men or women? Were there women in the illuminati smart enough to program the rest of us female simpletons, or is the men's fault we are this way? Or were the illuminati infiltrated by gay men?

From other places on that guy's site: [link]

Over the last few years, it has become increasingly obvious that American men — particularly those of the post-boomer generations — have fallen into a cultural gap. Our voice is barely a whisper in the traditional media, we are consistently portrayed as worthless buffoons and advertisers ignore us.

Um. Yeah. Sure.

What you will not hear is anything that has to do with what feminism is doing to men such as the false rape industry, the absurd body of sexual harassment law, how men need to learn game or otherwise be shut out of the sexual/relationships market, the current divorce system, children taken away from their fathers and other issues of fathers’ rights, etc

That one is about how feminist women and anti-feminist women both are all about oppressing men. I think my favorite bit is the "evidence" that anti-feminist women are oppressing men -- they think that men should be gentlemen.

This website is seriously disturbing. Even compared to other MRA stuff I've read. [link]

With culturally enforced monogamy, most people got married. With “sexual liberation”, a handful of alpha males get all the sex from numerous women, leaving the majority of men celibate, lonely and with no hope of children. With so little in the way of rewards – no sex, no female companionship, no children, and no job if the quotas require hiring a less-qualified woman – men have little motivation to work at steady jobs instead of becoming criminals of some sort.

In addition, as I keep showing, most women are not particularly valuable in the workplace. There are exceptions, but for the most part, the work that most women are being paid to do ends up getting done by men (or lesbians). Most men have experienced this. This is what evolution designed women to do – get other people to work for them so that they would have someone to provide for them while they cared for children – but it is a liability in the modern workplace.

Just imagine for a moment what work would be like with few women in your office, and those few compelled to actually do their jobs because they lack sex discrimination legislation to force employers to hire them. No sudden backlog because a co-worker has to take time off to look after her child who caught the flu at his day care center.

Of the people in my department who have kids, the one who has most often canceled meetings with me because of kid issues is male.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

If we're so simple-minded, hateful and genre-ruinous, you'd think the majority of men would be relieved to have us all sexed up and siphoned off by the alpha males, freeing the rest of them from even the possibility of something so dire as female companionship. I mean, from everything they're saying all over the site, we sound like kind of shitty companions. Shouldn't they be grateful to the alphas?

Woe to the fucking wicked.

Most of us, yes. But not the hawt ones. They should be kept available for sex on tap. The rest of us can stay in our female compounds (aka kitchens) and raise the childrens.

Also, hugs DH and all the most excellent male Buffistas tight. It is because of you that I don't judge your entire gender. And I am grateful that you don't judge my gender by such examples as Rules girls. I know that I am often accused of seeing the best in people, but I have to believe that the examples of the human race that we see on these websites are the exception. It has to be true. These people are not my reality.

I'm always glad not be judged by the actions of others, but especially not this site. Bluntly, this strikes me as the equivalent of Storm Front, but with women and gay people as the primary target, rather than Storm Front's primary target of Jews and people of color. It makes me a bit nervous to point at laugh at these people for the exact same reason it would make me a bit nervous to point and laugh at Storm Front. This is a hate group, with just a slightly different primary focus than the KKK. (I say "primary" focus, because it would surprise me a good deal if they were not racist and anti-Semites, just as Storm Front is anti-feminist and anti-gay. ) These are not just clueless geeks whose cluelessness shades over into misogny (as bad as that would be). These are hard core women haters and gay haters.
