Eureka: I was totally hoping for the punchline to be "Eat a muffin, whitey."
Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon
A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

Shit. Missed the setup.
I really liked Charlie. Rats.
Re: Eureka - Most parents I know, after being overcome with pride that their child had been accepted into Harvard, would then be panic-striken at trying to figure out how to pay for it. Did she get a full scholarship along with that early admission?
last year, Harvard was offering nearly full rides to people who were low-income and lower-middle class. This is not happening post-October 2008 crash, but they were doing this before then.
The Jack and Zoe relationship has been one of the most enjoyable on Eureka. Love the way the interact with each other.
When I received literature from Harvard the first page was reassurance that you need not worry about not going to Harvard because of financial reasons. Don't know if it was true because I didn't decide to go there, but they were quite convincing that if you got admitted there were financial resources available.
Also, that was a fast season. Pout.
I just wish someone would have said straight out "reverse the polarity of the neutron flow." But still..
I liked Jo's scene with the homage to Close Encounters.
Fargo's knowledge of the regularity of pole reversal is flawed. I had to look it up, but it varies widely, with the last reversal happening around 780,000 years ago.

*sigh* he's gone to the Francie place.

All fine and dandy for you in-country people. They told me I'd have to bring my own money, but they'd be happy to let me in.
I hope that's not it for Jordan. We'll see.
I decided to let them slide on the pole reversal will wreck the world since a) at least it's not happening in 2012, and Colin finished the ep very strongly playing the puppet and then saying goodbye two his two blondies.
I'm also assuming that the reason the new magnetic pole was misbehaving so was because it was a baby and cranky. How irritating would it be if everything magnetic near the north or south pole flew to that specific spot.

Love this reasoning!
