I'm headed to the Harrisburg area. I grew up there, and my family's still there.
awesome - happy, safe travels! (has never been to teh capitol)
this weekend - popcorn and movies sound good. Figuring out how to get back in shape sounds better. I live in the middle of a Yoga hub, so this might be part of it. Visiting a modern-dance class for the under 5 set. Preparing to go to Glen Burnie on Tuesday for a couple freelance client-calls (and, I took the day off to do it. I'm so good to [nonprofit].)
North Hollywood--I can probably WALK over and babysit!
Probably. I can walk to Target in less than 4 minutes.
house woes are bringing me down. please tell me things get better...
ION one of the warehouse guys' wife sent him a singing valentine yesterday. we were all very entertained.
Yay Kat on signing a new lease! And yay for planning a first birthday party, I'd have to agree that they are both miraculous.
My plans for the weekend: getting better? pretty please?
I taught today, despite my better instincts. This led to one teaching moment that still has me confused. A student of mine says she's thinking about writing her research paper on the impact of television on political campaigning. So we talk about it a bit. She seems well aware that there's a general election coming up, but she's not that interested because she doesn't like any of the candidates. She adds that it's kind of cool that we might elect a black man or a white woman, except she wishes it wasn't *that* woman, etc. Up until this point I am just listening to her, but then she asks a question. "So what is Clinton? She's a Republican, right?"
::represses mild boggle::
So my student knows she doesn't like the woman, but has no idea which party Hillary CLINTON is running for?!? How does that happen? She can't remember Clinton's presidency? weird.
But here's my moment of teaching confusion: why does she want to write about politics when she's so completely unaware of them? Is it a cry for help from the wilderness?
tiggy, it's frustrating and crazy making some of the time but eventually, it gets better. Until it gets bad again. And then it gets better.
It sort of evens out.
Oh, and yay on the new place, Kat!
Boo to slobbery fingers.
Target has bunny ears in the dollar bins. I have two teeny Easter bunnies hopping around the house.
ita. ijs.
YAY Kat house!
Burrell, just offer her an F now. seems merciful.
