Actually, it happened outdoors in a public area, so the whole thing was probably attracting too much attention for the attacker.

That makes more sense, but then it really isn't being driven off with the lightsaber. OTOH, it doesn't make much of a story without the lightsaber.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Still more Britney....

According to People.com, a court-appointed monitor called the police.

“This was a hostage situation,” People Deputy Managing Editor Peter Castro told Access Hollywood.

“When it was time for Jayden to go visit, get back in the car and go to his dad, Britney did not allow that. She locked herself in a room with Jayden, and that’s when the cops were called,” Castro told Access Hollywood. “They come in, they get through the door, and they strap Britney down on a gurney.”

Jan. 4: Msnbc.com’s Courtney Hazlett says the latest drama at Britney’s home is a huge escalation in pop star’s already dramatic life.

The police had a difficult time removing Britney from the locked room, according to Castro. “It’s unclear whether they broke down the door or Britney let them in, but it took a long time for them to get through that door and when they finally got through they saw a disoriented Britney, who hadn’t slept for days, apparently hadn’t eaten for days, and that’s when they decided, ‘Let’s put her in a gurney, she’s under no condition to walk out of here on her own.‘”

...

According to Access Hollywood, Spears is on an involuntary psychiatric hold, also known as a section 5150 hold.

According to the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health, a 5150 is defined as, “a means by which someone who is in serious need of mental health treatment can be transported to a designated psychiatric inpatient facility for evaluation and treatment for up to 72 hours against their will. If the facility feels that further treatment is indicated, the person can be held involuntarily for additional lengths of time providing he or she meets the legal criteria and is unwilling or unable to remain voluntarily.”

No, I don't think I will - me, quoting Captain Steve Rogers, to all of 2020

True. Without the lightsaber it's "Kid Screams, Embarrasses Attacker". And if that were newsworthy "Kid Screams in Grocery Store, Mortifies Mother to Death" would be top of the news cycle with a bullet.

Happy birthday , ita.

Susan, a plan is the best place to start - and you have a very good and sensible plan there. Keep the battle stratagy moving forward.

I was listen to NPR this am. As i suspected a number of republicans called in and said they'd vote for Obama over Hucklebee ( all spellings of politicians names subject to whim )

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Kidman definitely used to be a curly redhead.

But she looks so much better with red hair! I think.

I think she went strawberry blonde after her marriage broke up. Then her hair just got less and less red as her face got more and more tight.

So she got less and less red while her ex got more and more of the crazy. I'd say she got the better end of the deal.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Oh, I guess she did have red hair! And she does look better. But in Far and Away (picture: [link] they keep referring to her as a redhead, but her hair looked blond. I think that is where I got the impression.
