I am full and lethargic. I had plans to go home for lunch, and have a nice healthy grilled chicken sandwich with low fat mayo, with some nice soup. I even grilled the chicken last night. But, it's raining. And my student was here, and we decided to go get cheese pizza. Which is kind of healthy. but then, the pizza oven was broken, so we ended up getting Chik-Fil-A. I had the classic sandwich with fries. It was goooood. But now, I feel dirty.
Natter 56: ...we need the writers.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
But now, I feel dirty.
You are a dirty girl and somebody should give you a matching butt bruise.
But let's wait to hear about brenda's lunch first and see who's got the greatest disparity between Intended Lunch and Actual Lunch today.
I'm sorry to hear about so many other ick sufferers. This cold is friggin' brutal! I am so glad I stayed home today.
Isaac is being such a pill too because this is day 3 of sickness, but he has this scratchy little voice that is utterly adorable. Lucky for him. And Frances is being a super angel, kissing everybody and wiping noses and offering blankets and babydolls for support.
Somehow I need to get a bit of work done today, but I keep napping instead.
dude, a nap would ROCK! I think I'll be heading to bed super early again.
I just learned I'm supposed to be on a conference call at 3. Oy. At least I should be able to get the hand-outs out of my email.
I just learned that my friend's 2-year old boy also fell on the ice today! He didn't yell "AIEEEFUCK" though. He said "UH OH!"
Neither of us cried. Although I REALLY wanted to.
Naps are the best thing ever.
Okay, I'm gonna go send my students their assignments.
There are sheets of ice falling off of our house. The whole process is very loud, especially when they hit the ground. It's making me jumpy.
I'm getting a lot of work done today, but the ONE thing I absolutely needed to send out, I can't. I have no FedEx slips, and the account number is sitting on my desk in the office. Feh. I need that expense reimbursment check so I can pay off the corporate AMEX.
maria, e me and I'll let you borrow my fedex number.
Can you call 800-go-fedex and ask them for it? I have found them to be surprisingly quick and helpful.
Then you can log onto fedex.com and ship it from there -- it only takes a few minutes to set up the account once you have the account number and it will print you a label.
I literally haven't touched one of those stupid slips in years.
