Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

I have had lunch. sigh ... such as it was. But it's too cold and wet outside to go get something better. I'll console myself with thoughts of how HEALTHY it was.

In re Westminster - a few years ago a papillon won and they had pictures of this bright little face peering out over the edge. Cute.

I managed to make it home without falling on the ice last night, but I had to walk slowly, hanging onto a fence or something all the way.

Punishingly Intricate

You should've had the spaghetti and meatballs.

Seriously! But that would have required going outside, I think and I'm putting that off until I leave for the day.

"In the equation E = mc⬧, c⬧ is a pretty big honking number." - Scola

You got to ogle fireman and you had parking.

Ha! I'm not sure there were any firemen there (this is the county volunteer firestation, so I guess no regulars), and also, there are no. hotties. here. There just aren't. There were a couple of very nice 50-something women and a 60-something man who didn't seem to be all there.

Actually, I'm mostly complaining about being forced to go through an entirely unmarked side door. It could have been the wrong door! Who knows what could have been in there!

Typing it out, it doesn't seem that anxiety-causing. I guess you'd have to be me.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Outside is where they keep the icy stairs, so I think you should avoid that.

At a firestation? I'm guessing fireman or possibly fire fighting equipment.

No. Not really.

I guess you'd have to be me.

While there are many pluses to this proposition (fantastic dancing ability, spicy brains, great tattoo) I'm going to pass on account of the baseless sign anxiety.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

I am full and lethargic. I had plans to go home for lunch, and have a nice healthy grilled chicken sandwich with low fat mayo, with some nice soup. I even grilled the chicken last night. But, it's raining. And my student was here, and we decided to go get cheese pizza. Which is kind of healthy. but then, the pizza oven was broken, so we ended up getting Chik-Fil-A. I had the classic sandwich with fries. It was goooood. But now, I feel dirty.

You are a dirty girl and somebody should give you a matching butt bruise.

But let's wait to hear about brenda's lunch first and see who's got the greatest disparity between Intended Lunch and Actual Lunch today.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I'm sorry to hear about so many other ick sufferers. This cold is friggin' brutal! I am so glad I stayed home today.

Isaac is being such a pill too because this is day 3 of sickness, but he has this scratchy little voice that is utterly adorable. Lucky for him. And Frances is being a super angel, kissing everybody and wiping noses and offering blankets and babydolls for support.

Somehow I need to get a bit of work done today, but I keep napping instead.
