I don't like vampires. I'm gonna take a stand and say they're not good.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

My bud was the publisher for Everybody Poops.

Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

Oh, and the test said I could take 18 5-year-olds, but I could totally take more.

The week of 60 below? When they didn't cancel public school until three days in or so, because the diesel engines finally stopped running? Not that I remember?

January 1989, when for two weeks it never got above -50. And I think it got down to -70something. It was 45 degrees inside my apartment (SAC, designed for California, with two entrances but only one arctic entry, and no weatherstripping). Brr. Then the next year, we had record snowfall. Nope, not memorable at all, juliana.

Twisted balloon dresses. People are so delightfully odd and cool.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

I just had a freaking brilliant idea, and Mr. Jane thinks it's good too, and I need to talk to Allyson. Right. Now.

However, that's the excitement talking, so I will email later.

Actually, it's fairly stupid that I didn't think of it days ago.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I use cilantro in guacamole, and chili, and black bean soup, and sometimes on top of noodles with peanut sauce, and a zillion other places that I can't think of right now. One thing to remember wiith things like soups and chili is that it works best to put it in at the end -- it gets weird if you cook it for a long time.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I never cook with cilantro, I just gratefully eat whatever I buy that it's in -- I really should look into adding it into my shamefully slim cooking repertoire, in order to better make delicious things at home....

Ann, that's a ferret.

18 five-year-olds. Largely because my moral center becomes flexible if somebody attacks me first.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Anyone heard the band Miss Derringer? I haven't, but they've been described as "goth-western-murder-ballad-a-go-go."

Check out these pictures of the singer - she has an awesome look: [link]

I don't know what test y'all are talking about, but it sounds disturbing.

Also disturbing was the dream I had last night, from which I could really use to be distracted. Post more!

Here, I'll give you a topic. The Renaissance was neither re nor naissance. Discuss.
