Why I'm not dating her?
This weekend: first, trying to wake up--I keep nodding off! (My cat has been "let's wake you up at 3:30, 4:30, and 5:30 to play!" all this week, and it led me to yell at her at 4:30 this morning and start crying, all while pleading with her to Just Shut Up with the meowing, already!) Then, this afternoon, Comcast is coming over to give me my HD cable box, complete with my first DVR--yay!
Tomorrow is working at the bookstore and then stopping by the apartment manager's office to drop off my rent and ask them if they can replace the doorknobs in my bedroom and bathroom with ones that don't lock, so I can shut the cat out in the hallway without worrying that I'll lock myself in the bedroom and be forced to take the door off the hinges to get out. The last time I asked them to do this, all they had the maintenance guy do was come over, unlock the doors, and give me a piece of wire to insert into the little hole in the doorknob to unlock it in the future, which does me no good when the hole side is in the hallway and the door locks with me in the damn room!
Sunday is Super Bowl, Puppy Bowl, and just getting things done around the apartment.

We have a snow day. I got the call at 5:30, turned off my alarm, and slept till 10.
I am Debet! My first snow day as a teacher, and while I appreciate it, Fridays are my days to not have my 6th graders in the afternoons (they are all in band on Fridays) and I use that time for planning. This means I'll be at work late on Monday catching up.
January 31, 2008 -- An expert on domestic violence, who has appeared on several national TV shows, was busted for roughing up his wife, Florida officials said yesterday.
Cops near Tampa responded to the home of Dean Tong, 51, after receiving a frantic call from his wife the night of Jan. 21, according to law-enforcement records.
Tong was booked for alleged domestic violence and tampering with a witness. He was released on $1,000 bail.
Tong has appeared as an expert on shows like "Dr. Phil," "48 Hours" and "Nancy Grace."[link]
