Natter 56: ...we need the writers.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Shiny! Do you do the mirror writing thing?
not really except that once... it was fun. I'd been reading about DaVinci in school or something. Plus, it tweaked my mom.
She sent him off to the local CC to make up his english grade as a junior in high school. It didn't make him ambitious, but he did get that life was different out of high school
that's brilliant.
Well, he came home and was asleep. Then he got changed and diapered and we figured we'd skip the bath tonight. Then he had peaches and cereal for dinner. Then we gave him the antibios ("bubble gum" flavored which is really bubble gum scented ass tasting nasty med) and he Linda Blaired it and the jar of food on K. So, we stripped him, gave him his bath, gave him his bottle and regave the med but just with milk
Now he's asleep in his crib looking so angelic and sweet.
I have no idea if I will take him to urgent care or not. K said he was a PiLL about getting the pulse ox. The first time they did it, he was saturating at 99% and every other time after that with the kicking and the flailing, he was only at 93%. If we take him to urgent care and he's below 93% then we are supposed to take him to the hospital.
Or you know, we'll all just go to sleep and I'll just take him back to his appointment tomorrow morning instead and not get too bothered about it.
Poor Noah and family. I hope they can figure it out quickly, with no urgent care.
I firmly believe that most meds for babies and pets should default to injectible form, not some attempt at palatable flavoring. Of course, I'm not averse to needles. But so much easier.
Hope he improves quickly.
He also gets prednisone. and a corticosteroid which he'll get by nebulizer.
I think it's just early bacterial pneumonia.
I want a baby giraffe. But my lack of acacia tree might be a limiting factor.
Hivemind, I just got a final notice from the city of LA because on my 2006 taxes, I paid taxes to the state and feds on a 1099 from my book advance.
The City now says that I am an independent contractor or a small business and I need to pay them money and register with them.
It's not a bill. I'm unsure what the fuck to do, as the language is weirdly complex and I'm not that smart.
Has anyone experienced anything like this?
I work as an independent contractor, and I haven't needed to register with the city. Obviously, things may differ from city to city and state to state. Do they want you to buy a license of some kind?
It appears so. I mean, they want me to apply for a Business Tax Certificate. My "business" brought me about 2k. I wrote off my new laptop as an expense under the appropriate box, paid an assload of taxes to the state and feds, and here we are, a year later, and they're kicking me.
You know, we've got no state income tax here, so maybe that makes a difference.
Business Tax Certificate sounds more like the kind of thing you'd need if you were paying employees, but I don't know.
