Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Minor drama on my way in the building just now -- there were cops at the front door! They were trying to get in touch with my super, so I gave them his phone number. So I asked if there was anything I should be concerned about and they said no, but then the one cop showed me bench warrant with some guy's picture on it, and asked if I recognized him. I hadn't, and they said it was nothing major, so. But still. Cops.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

So, is Giuliani gonna drop out now (after placing a distant third)? And after he (or someone in his campaign) said, "Whoever wins Florida wins the race"?

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Wow. White out conditions outside my window. Glad I'm home.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

HA, Sox. That would be true if only there wasn't dry and clean laundry waiting to be folded, clean and wet laundry waiting to be dried and diapers that needed to be washed.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I managed to not raise my voice and just work with him on listening and talking to me about stuff

Hats off to you, msbelle.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

My drive home is about 8 miles, which I normally take surface streets for, because the 101 is so bad. Today around 4, they closed the 101, so everyone took surface streets. Even leaving work at 6:00 instead of 5:00, it took me an hour and 31 minutes to get home.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Jesus, it's bad out there. I about died from the wind whipping the snow around so I couldn't see or barely breath. Still had to drag the dog in off the porch when we got back.

Our wings are not tired.

Which is why I am still sitting here in my office.
