Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

In nerdy news, I totally signed up for the big crossword puzzle tournament today! I mean, I signed up today. The tournament is next month. Exciting!

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

My drive home is about 8 miles, which I normally take surface streets for, because the 101 is so bad. Today around 4, they closed the 101, so everyone took surface streets. Even leaving work at 6:00 instead of 5:00, it took me an hour and 31 minutes to get home.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Jesus, it's bad out there. I about died from the wind whipping the snow around so I couldn't see or barely breath. Still had to drag the dog in off the porch when we got back.

Which is why I am still sitting here in my office.

Smart woman. If I hadn't needed to get home to shoot up Ozzie, I would have done the same.

Art Crawl!!!

I guess Giuliani is giving up - when I last had the news stations on they were saying that he was going to endorse McCain. (That was before Bones.) I took a darvocet and went and lay on the couch with my heating pad and watched Bones and the fifth episode of In Treatment (free On Demand) and fell asleep so I missed the end of Bones (which I saw 2 or 3 years ago) and the end of In Treatment.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

So rarely sees the verb "lie" conjugated correctly that she freaks with delight upon sight.

Bob Bob tried to teach me how to do this correctly. After several months I realized the error was just too ingrained. But also that it was still making him nuts. So now I do it on purpose, all the time. Every phone call. "What are you doing?" "Laying on the couch. First I laid myself on the couch. Now I'm just laying here. Laying on the couch. Laying! On! The! Couch!" It makes him homicidal. Unfortunately I think this is making me cognitively more aware of the error.
