Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

and on that topic (shameless plug) Jesse - haven't forgotten that I will be responding to your post in Press asap.

Thanks! Coincidentally, I just put the DVD in the mail to you!

Argh. I'm still riled up from this morning and don't want to deal with anything else today. And yet? I must.

I hate when it turns out I fucked something up, due to no one telling me how to handle it.

I hate that.

Of course, when I called the mech's, they are looking at it right now! And will call me back. And I've got to go to a meeting. Ahrg.

Now tagless for your comfort.

ACK! I need to check my TiFaux for Jane Austen stuff and set it to record.

Punishingly Intricate

Of course, when I called the mech's, they are looking at it right now!

Is it at Brentwood, by any chance? My car got it's money eating repairs there last month and it seemed like they were always really slow to call me to give updates. so annoying.

man, I'm so sleepy. And it's only 2. And I just upgraded my browser and the fonts all look funny to me.

The status is NOT quo.

There is a HUGE flood in the hallway downstairs. Roto Rooter has been parked outside my classroom window all morning. Eep.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Roto Rooter has been parked outside my classroom window all morning.

Any chance you can use that as a motivational tool?

The status is NOT quo.

Kat and other teacher-types, you'll love this for the sheer ridonkulousness of school politics.

Our current interim head of school--who applied for the permanent HoS position and didn't get it--made an announcement on Friday. She's leaving to become the new head of school for Oprah's South African girls school. When is she leaving? Friday. (I can hear her "In your FACE, Board!" from here.)

We lost our middle school director a few months ago. That means that the only experienced admin remaining is our current upper school director.

This semester should be interesting.

ETA:

Any chance you can use that as a motivational tool?
I would try, but the students can't hear me over the truck anyway.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

So who's not watching the SotU speech tonight?

Also, does Bush get to do one next year?

Thrive to spite them

I'm not watching!

Also the headline on the local paper called it his last. I hope that's true. I'm so looking forward to having a President I can listen to again.
