I did some yard work and we fixed a falling down fence. I am mightily impressed with us. Because Matt played at a local amazing restaurant last night - which turned into a party. we got home at 2am. I think however, it is time for a nap.
Natter 56: ...we need the writers.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
I'm watching the end of Deadwood season 1, and am very impressed.
Huzzah, indeed.
is that not absolutely crazy?
That is crazy.
I succumbed to the pre-Super Bowl hype and just made cheese nachos with guac. Delish!!
Deadwood was so great. I'm still pissed they cancelled it for that stupid John from Cincinnati, which got cancelled almost immediately.
I'm mainlining S1 of Supernatural today, something I've been meaning to do for yonks. I'm also making pot pie out of my leftover chicken and chicken jello stock from last weekend.
That sounds like fun, Brenda! I am tempted, except I am 3 episodes from the end of Charlie Jade, so I think I may do that. After I get my ass off the couch and run some errands...
I have been Lazy McSloungerpants today. Did the laundry and that's all. Going to a friend's to watch a screener of Into The Wild tonight.
I do mostly size, but when I can put James Joyce next to Dorothy Parker, I will. I like to see 'em fight.
This is the same reason I put theology books next to classic romances.
ION...I was up at 5:30 this morning to get ready to drive 1.5 hours south to judge District Thespians for another district. Monologues from 9-3. My head hurts. Saw some things that were quite good and saw some things that were just sad. Do these kids work with their directors/sponsors? They also have no concept of "audition attire"!
All in all it was an interesting day, though. My students perform next week. I hope they are ready!!!!! I know my work is cut out for me next week making sure everything is together.
We have been the opposite of lazy mclazypants today, putting up the crib and realigning the bedroom with attendant dust and dusting and grump and ad hoc solutions and mind change and generally sweaty grumping.
We had Matilda in the bassinet for a good five months, but she's been in our bed with us since she could stand up, and we'd been dreading the contraction of our already crowded bedroom by putting up the crib. But it was either put up the crib or hire a babysitter every time we wanted to have sex.
Because the fancy Italian crib we inherited was missing some pieces I was forced to engage in carpentry today! There was hammering and construction.
So tired and sweaty and dusty and crabby. Must have cold alcoholic drinks soon.
Wow. They're showing Obama with 54% in South Carolina.
