The two factors that tipped me from always having a cushion to living paycheck to paycheck are 1) daycare and 2) mortgage.
Absolutely. We were doing so well as DINK renter-types, and now we're back to taking money from my parents (for daycare).
The one mitigating factor is we're also too tired now to ever go out, so we're saving money on movies and dinners. Doesn't quite balance out, but it helps!
They tend to show off with the biggest guys. Why in gods name would I be convinced by a fight system this guy finds effective? I wager he finds everything, up to and including badminton effective self defense. I am more interested in what she can use.
I am guessing that guys don't find that compelling (though they should) and that's the majority of the center's customers.
I keep telling the higher ups at krav that they have to sell the fact that it works for smaller women.
I still think they should do the Mother's Day weekend thing my dojo did where you get a free class if you bring your mom, and they teach you a bit of self defense for any strength level.
Fun!
I think they let us members bring a friend. Polgara will remember better.
Timelies all!
We are waiting for the DirectTV supervisor guy to show up and give a second opinion on whether we can do satellite tv or not.
In my ongoing attempt to de-trash-ify my apartment, I just threw out a Trader Joe's bagful of paper. So that's good. Less good is the fact that most of it was grad school stuff that was already in a drawer, so the place doesn't
look
much better. Ah well. Little steps, little steps.
I went running, took a shower, and had an omelet.
... that's enough for the day, right?
If the weather holds off too long, I'll have to do yard work, and I don't want to. C'mon, rain already!
mac has a bit of a cold, showed up last night, but he claimed not feeling good enough for swimming so we stayed home this morning and stayed in bed until almost 12. I figure if I can just keep him in front of the tv it is almost as good as a nap. He seems better already.
If I get laundry done, some papers shredded, and the sheets changed I will be happy.
Go Jesse! is the desk almost empty now?
and I meant to say YAY ASKYE earlier.
I've been in class since 9, with a break for lunch. Whee?
Damn, still not raining. I should get off the couch and do something anyway.
