Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Money songs:

Cyndi Lauper, "Money Changes Everything"
Count Basie, "With Plenty of Money and You"
Prince, "Money Don't Matter 2 Night"
Notorious BIG, "Mo Money, Mo Problems"

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

I knew I should have bought Rilo Kiley's Moneymaker with my iTunes Gift Card!

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

msbelle (and other parents), if you're into podcasts, I really recommend Pediacast, which is all about pediatric medicine. I thought of it because Dr Mike just did an interview show about Second Disease (aka scarlet fever), and will be progressing to Third, Fourth, and Fifth (do they go any higher?) in the weeks to come.

I don't recommend it if you're a hypochondriac, but otherwise it's got a lot of good information for parents of school-age kids and babies.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

We had the Suicide Seduction Mix in university--the music that would cause you to either drop trou or off yourself, depending on how it was presented.

I had Redemption Song on mine.

I went to lunch with L today (and held baby!) and will hopefully go over there this weekend (and delivery my gift! I totally left it at home today.)

Anyway, later we were talking about the birth. Apparently, I did a good job with the camera. Which is good cause I got a little freaked out that, um, I got a little too much. Or too much ceiling. I've sent her my recollections from here, cause she wanted to compare notes and sort through it. I figure we'll talk about it more. I was probably the most non-overwhelmed non-medical person in the room.

As weird as it sounds, I'd like to see the video. I'm curious to see how my brain took the experience, and if I was as non-overwhelmed as I thought I was.

Oh & I did get Miss P grabbing his hand as soon as he was on L's tummy! Thank goodness.
