Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

We had the Suicide Seduction Mix in university--the music that would cause you to either drop trou or off yourself, depending on how it was presented.

I had Redemption Song on mine.

I went to lunch with L today (and held baby!) and will hopefully go over there this weekend (and delivery my gift! I totally left it at home today.)

Anyway, later we were talking about the birth. Apparently, I did a good job with the camera. Which is good cause I got a little freaked out that, um, I got a little too much. Or too much ceiling. I've sent her my recollections from here, cause she wanted to compare notes and sort through it. I figure we'll talk about it more. I was probably the most non-overwhelmed non-medical person in the room.

As weird as it sounds, I'd like to see the video. I'm curious to see how my brain took the experience, and if I was as non-overwhelmed as I thought I was.

Oh & I did get Miss P grabbing his hand as soon as he was on L's tummy! Thank goodness.

Origami master talks about the technology behind it.

This guy is awesome - I've made a lot of models from his books. Never took the opportunity to meet him - he used to be here at geek-central.

That's so cool, lori.

Man. I got an origami-a-day calendar from a friend some time back. I have to admit, I totally suck at it. (It's got to be something with fine motor and patience. Mostly the latter.)

patience, grasshopper.

Heh. Yeah, not my strong suit when it comes to stuff like that. (Knitting, needlework, anything like that.) I'm the ...what in the hell eats grasshoppers? Other than my cats?

Frogs? Birds?

Duh. I was totally drawing a blank, which is just weird.

I think this week took out more than a few IQ points. It's the first major fucking huge crisis (uh, if someone big gets really pissed, the agency will bring the wrath of hell down on someone) in the new job, and unfortunately, it was a doozy. I'm still not convinced we're scoped it all out.

But my big boss was really nice about it and everyone has been great about coming together and just working together as fast as hell. I'm backed up to the hilt and being commended for my pushiness, and we aren't assigning blame (and it wasn't my fault anyway!) so that's good. But what an adrenaline disaster.
