I'm supposed to deliver you to the Master now. There's this whole deal where I get to be immortal. Are you cool with that?

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

For my birthday, I'll throw them a birthday!

I wonder if we can get the little area where they have activities for a couple hours...

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Frontline tonight is How Fucking Evil is Dick Cheney

(or something like that)

It looks really good.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Yeah, that definitely sounds like the vehicle I need. Just can't buy it, with the whole just-built-a-house thing. I've been hesitant about hybrids because so much of my driving is highway, but that's changed a lot this year, and will likely change moreso in the future. Too bad for me, I guess!

Yay, littlings. Allyson, you have to throw them a birthday party! You're the best at parties!

Our wings are not tired

I've been really happy with it, and I'm a bit of a car nut, so the fact that it was a good car to me and that the hybrid aspect of it didn't drive me crazy is a pretty good argument for how good the technology is.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

IIRC the Escape Hybrid uses the same technology (licensed from Toyota) as the 1st Prius.

It is similar tech, but not the same. As I understand it Ford ended up developing technology that came pretty close to the Toyota patents, so the two companies did an exchange. Ford gave Toyota access to a fairly large number of patents and Toyota gave Ford access to a smaller set of patents. The tech is very similar, but I've ridden in and driven both the 1st gen Prius, 2nd gen Prius, and Escape, and they aren't identical tech.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

I have close to my ideal job. I like older kids better than preschoolers, but the preschoolers are cute. and unpredictable. my 4th graders ( book clubs) , a blast. I'm encouraged to do new stuff. But as ND said , it is still work. and there are many days when I'd rather not.

Oh. Interesting. Actually, car companies exchange patents all the time - even unrelated ones.

My ideal career would be acting in a film or two a year and doing theater inbetween.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

who the hell would let their daughter wear this? I mean, the words "sexy" and "teen girl" should not be in the same sentence.
