Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Okay, that cat is awesome.

We're all getting played with, babe. -Weird Barbie

Aw, Laura. The curse of being born in February is that we are doomed to always being told how much everyone hates our birth month. Oh, and we always get the worst picture in the calendar. Seriously, I'm not kidding.

Our wings are not tired.

The cat really neat.

So I guess maybe we all do experience, say, the color red the same way....

Nooooooooooo. Don't make my mind start on that question again when it is bedtime.

This may be why I chose such a nice picture for my family calendar. We have quite a crowd of birthdays in February including 3 people on the 27th. [link]

eta: the picture is my mom's place in Otter Lake.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

I don't get any days off until March.

August also gets crappy calendar stuff.

I love August (except for the weather). My mother and son were born in August.

eta: seriously bad planning on my part, so damn hot

Tyler Robert F.W. was born at 7:55 pm EST. He was 8 lb 5.7 oz, had a full head of dark hair and was very vocal about his arrival. WIDE FREAKING AWAKE and a chattery little man.

Miss P was a trouper. The first epidural didn't really take, so we hung out in the lounge and made up ridiculous stories about the reason people arrived in ambulances (my girl is a bloodthirsty one. Most of hers were crime and gore), read Paper Bag Princess, modelled all the throw-away scrubs, hats, gloves and masks the nurses brought for her and went to the caf for dinner. Once they got the second epi to work, we joined them. She was very curious, but handled it all wonderfully. She got to see everything and is very much in love with her little new little brother, even offering to take care of him so her parents could sleep (they are EXHAUSTED.) But only for a week. She was incredible.

It was very interesting, though I really think since I was so focussed on Miss P and how she was coping, I was a little removed. But dang. Just dang. And wow how their heads squish for that last passage.

And now if I can get my damned connection to work, I'll send out pix (it hung up at 92% send, the fucker!)

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

ooh, how exciting sarameg!

Burrell, you don't happen to remember the name of the place, do you?

It's Le Saigon. Haven't been there in ages, but it's still around.

I went to stretch class today then took the kids to see my sister & her horse. I am so tired, so damn tired. And my legs just ache in that way they do sometimes. But it was really a nice day. The kids actually rode on a great big horse! Like all alone, up on the horse all by themselves.
