Anya Christina Emmanuella Jenkins. Twenty years old. Born on the fourth of July — and don't think there weren't jokes about that my whole life, mister, 'cause there were. 'Who's our little patriot?' they'd say, when I was younger and therefore smaller and shorter than I am now.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I'm at the alltel place trying to sort my billing issues. Looks like they are giving me new numbers. WTF. They gave me prepaid numbers and now they need to remedy that so I can get any sort of customer service. Feh.

Scatterbrained packing question: my quart bag in my carry-on? Zip TOP or is zipLOCK okay? Guess which ones we have at the house.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

TSA says zip-top, but I'm guessing zip-lock is fine. I've used ziplock and been fine.

Our wings are not tired.

No problem, Jilli.

Reading menus is making me hungry.

Just be careful out there and keep watch for the wackos. That would be a daily request.

This time of year we have way more than our fair share of bad tourist drivers. I dislike any driving right now.

Punishingly Intricate

I'm going to a friend's party in the suburbs tonight and trying not to be bitter that he met some girl at the gym over the summer and now they are engaged.

And then going to see this guy:

to ring in the New Year.

And not drinking ALL the champagne like last year and so not being super hung over for my friends' New Year's Day brunch tomorrow.

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

Jilli, don't worry -- "zip-top" is just genericspeak for Ziplock. You hear it all the time on the Food Network too.

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

How long have you had the cold, Shrift? Having very recently recovered from the Death Cold I can promise that it does end.

I'm on day six.

Just so you know, it happens again sometime between 35 and 40.

Christ. I did not need to know that. I would cry emo tears, but my eyes are already red and swollen from being Sneezy McAchoopants.

I have grand plans for NYE. They involve me and my bed and not going anywhere, and probably no drinking at all. I am so lame.

Just call me "Siouxsie Shunshine".

So, what are people doing tonight?

Husband and I have tickets to see Jeff Dunham at the TPAC in Tampa. We have reservations for dinner afterward. Should be a pretty good way to end this year and bring in the next.

Revenge of the Metabolism hit me at 34, but at least some of that was stress and blood-pressure related.
