Well, quite a lot of fuss. If I didn't know better, I'd think we were dangerous.

Yeah, I always find February worse, because by that point you're like "OMG, is winter EVER GOING TO END?!?!?" In March, you can at least pretend spring is right around the corner. You can make plans. But February, nooooo....

January you're at least distracted by the holidays and the new year and all that jazz, for a little bit.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

January and February get to me because all the Christmas and New Year festivity is over, but it's still dark and dreary. By March and April I'm still sick of the rain, but at least I'm not waking up and then coming home from work in the dark.

Our wings are not tired.

EXACTLY. Have the right soup spoon, whitey.

Trying to decide whether to attempt to explain to the family why I am laughing so hard.

This is the absolute best time of year in S. Florida. Highs around 80 lows in mid 60s. Love it.

Laura, you're lucky we love you, because that kind of good-weather gloating can get a girl noogied.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I really need to work out a way to spend the winter in Florida.

As much as it always feels as if February will never end, the first two weeks of January are always the worst for me because of a lack of work (I've worked about 5-6 hours this year so far). If it weren't for the cats I'd probably stay in bed nearly the whole two weeks. Once I start back to work (Monday!) life doesn't seem quite so pointless.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Today we had some guys in to move furniture around. We put the old TV in the playroom (and I had to do all the component hook up). Tuesday, the installers are coming to put up the plasma tv and the surround sound speakers.

The question remains whether to get a second HD DVR from the cable company.

I'm patently ignoring Laura's weather related post.

Well, I wouldn't actually want Laura's weather--80 is borderline too warm for my tastes in JULY, much less January. It's just the short days and gray skies that get to me, and I have to keep reminding myself that there's such a thing as July, with sun and mid-70's temps and gloriously long days, and in just six months or so I'll be at a Sunday afternoon baseball game (because I believe in the Church of Baseball) thinking how perfect it is to live out here. Or, you know, leaving an evening game in July when it's 9:30 and still not quite dark, instead of leaving the office at 4:30 and whimpering because it *is* practically night already.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I had lunch with JZ and Matilda. Both are still adorable and lunch was yum.

Our wings are not tired.

You'll note my complete silence on the subject of weather in July. It is only a brief couple months in the winter that I can open my windows. The rest of the time it is A/C.

Is anyone watching the snowy football game?

red red wine

Seattle v Green Bay football in getting deeper every minute snow. It looks like so much fun. Silly boys need to put long sleeves on though. Don't know what it is, but football in snow always looked like a blast to me. Must be from watching Buffalo in my youth.
