Yes, there is. There's a hurry, Xander. I'm dying...I may have as few as fifty years left.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

That's a cute cheese.

I usually slurp up the noodles and then drink the broth.

Mmm, sausage cheese biscuits.

Managed to get my composter together. I put it together wrong at first and then had to kind of break it a little to get it back apart, but it seems to be staying in one piece okay now that it's put back together and it's not like it needs to be airtight or anything. I'm sure it will hold my decomposing grass trimmings and kitchen scraps just fine.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

EXACTLY. Have the right soup spoon, whitey.

Try the muffin spoon.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Try the muffin spoon.

Ha! Now I want a Chinese spoon and a muffin.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

It's really a pretty shitty month. Bad weather, weak sunlight. But it's all, "Hey, I'm the new year, resolute and shiny!" When in fact it's in the bleak midwinter.

I kind of hate January, but February seems worse because I'm fucking OVER winter. The weather in March is almost as bad, but at least the days are longer, and there's that one 65 degree day that is also really windy. In Phoenix, winter is pretty much over by late February, which is long enough.

meara - Jan 12, 2008 12:16:24 pm PST #2783 of 10001

Yeah, I always find February worse, because by that point you're like "OMG, is winter EVER GOING TO END?!?!?" In March, you can at least pretend spring is right around the corner. You can make plans. But February, nooooo....

January you're at least distracted by the holidays and the new year and all that jazz, for a little bit.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

January and February get to me because all the Christmas and New Year festivity is over, but it's still dark and dreary. By March and April I'm still sick of the rain, but at least I'm not waking up and then coming home from work in the dark.

Our wings are not tired.

Trying to decide whether to attempt to explain to the family why I am laughing so hard.

This is the absolute best time of year in S. Florida. Highs around 80 lows in mid 60s. Love it.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Laura, you're lucky we love you, because that kind of good-weather gloating can get a girl noogied.
