Where is everyone?
I think the winter blahs are hitting. I woke up this morning and I almost cried for having to get out of bed. Then I had to tear my place apart to find my work keys (I forgot them the day before and I couldn't beg the receptionist for a spare set two days in a row.) causing me to miss two buses. Fortunately a lot of pissed off music, and the pleasant people at my chiropractor's office put me in a much better mood. My brain is still full of cobwebs, though.
I'm gleeful that Romney got trounced in NH. That's a huge loss for him (if he loses Michigan, that will be the stake through the heart of his campaign since he's from there originally). I'm hoping history records this as another self-funded vanity campaign a la Steve Forbes and that it kills the Mittster's political career for good. Unfortunately, he does have a Terminator-esque vibe to him.
My brain is full of cobwebs, even though I've technically been awake since 5 AM (insomnia strikes again). I'll be a limpin' cowpoke by the time my third class of the day ends. SIGH.
add me to the gronk list. my body wants to do nothing but sleep. I was having some RLS issues last night and this morning muscle soreness around the front of my shoulder - I can not think of anything I did that would cause that.
I arrived at work to a note from my boss on my computer asking for printed and bound copies of things that I know nothing about. Not what they are, nor where they are. Thankfully people here are nice and have already directed me.
Looks like a federal grand jury is investigating the situation around the 13-year-old girl who committed suicide b/c of a MySpace hoax perpetrated by the parent of one of the girl's friends.
Good.
I'm gleeful that Romney got trounced in NH.
Tom and I were laughing at NECN the other morning when they were profiling Romney and mentioning that he had many hopes pinned on New Hampshire because of (among other reasons) him having a summer house up on the lake.
Um, yeah. People in New Hampshire (and Vermont, and Maine) DO NOT LIKE outsiders coming in and building McMansions and disrupting life with security and press and whatever. My friend who has a place up there says that the locals HATE him.
I started two new meds last night as well as having my first cranial-sacral massage session. I don't quite know how I feel today, but I'm pretty sure I can't go into the office.
I hate my head.
I hope our pro...there's a word I can't remember that goes here...didn't scare elizabethchloe off.
Yeah. No office. Not right now.
Feel better, ita!
Because maybe that'll work if I
tell
you to....
Fingers crossed on the new meds, ita. Cranial-sacral massage sounds like it should feel nice, at least, or is it one of those sessions that's only better after the pain has faded?
Which reminds me, I should make an appointment with my chiropractor....
Chris Matthews Butters Up Giuilani: "Are You Being Screwed By The Press?"
On Thursday, Jan. 3, the night of the Iowa caucuses, Chris Matthews interviewed Rudy Giuliani live on MSNBC. "I noticed working with a lot of reporters, even mild-mannered reporters from New York," observed Mr. Matthews, "they don't like you much."
That observation set up the question that Mr. Matthews wanted to explore: "Are you being screwed by the press?" he asked.
Can we collectively tell Matthews to STFU?
