The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Dutch Babies used to be a staple of Seattle 24 hour dining.

siiiiiigh

Back in the day, when the city was more interesting than it is now, and we actually had some 24 hour dining, that is.

... We don't anymore, do we? Well drat.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I don't know how much the national news has covered this, but they found the body of the hiker who was kidnapped. [link] There hasn't been much hope ever since her dog turned up alone. It's played out like a Law & Order episode, except for the dreadful fact that it's not fiction.

I've never had Dutch Baby. Swedish pancakes, yep. I mean, I got hauled to the Vasa lodge nearly every summer to be shown off to the other grammas.

I didn't like swedish pancakes so much back then, but that may be the lingering crepe crap. (I had a huge meal of blueberry crepes once and was hit with a bout of stomach flu. Put me off any thinnish chewy pancakey things, as well as blueberries, for a long while. Still not a fan of crepes, though I did eat some in Prague.)

My laptop screen is intermittently working again. Still glad I have the external monitor, because it is random. Really need to look at new 'puters. I'd be financially smartest to get a mini or something, but I want a laptop. Even though I don't really use a laptop as a laptop...

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

... We don't anymore, do we? Well drat.

We don't. We have, what? 13 Coins, the IHOP in Cap Hill, and the SoDo Denny's that's not 24 hours on Saturday nights because of gang violence.

Oh. We do have a 24 hour drive thru Starbucks, I think. (It was at one point, and may still be.)

We're practically Bellevue now.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I guess this is why there's no CSI: LA. There's overlooking and then there's just missing some shit.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

Wow, ita, that's just...yeah.

As I am finally caught up, I can say:

Many happy returns of the day, MM!

And then, in the way of school teachers everywhere who have to get up too damn early, go to bed.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.
