UK standard of living rises above that in America for the first time in a century

I guess that means we need to boycott British goods so we can drag them down. So much for me buying an Aston Martin.

You can get one, so long as you throw it into Boston Harbor.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

So the whole International part of their name is just a hoax?

They have pancakes from many lands.

Okay, I can be flexible. I'll try a selection of pancake places. We get pancakes one day a year here.

Shrove Tuesday?

Adjusted for pancake proximity? I think not.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Shouldn't it then be House of International Pancakes ?

Shrove Tuesday?

Mmm, I love having pancakes for dinner. Whenever we do that for Pancake Day (which is how it is referred to in our non-religious house) I always say, we should have pancakes for dinner more often. I mean, why not, right? Never happens though. It makes pancake (and paczi) day all the more special though, I suppose.

I actually made pancakes (for breakfast) yesterday, for the first time in yonks. Almost more blueberry than pancake, and they were teh yum. Banana pancakes are best though.

Yummm, pancakes...

Growing up, Bisquick pancakes were an occasional weekend treat, but the big celebrations called for Swedish pancakes from my grandpa's family recipe (he was born in Lulea, Sweden, and brought some great recipes with him back in the early '20s). My brother's kids love it when he's in charge of Sunday breakfast because he pulls out the griddle and syrup (we don't normally have lingonberry jam available, sad to say).
