JZ, that is dreadful. I'm so sorry you've had to go through all of this, but I hope the new information helps you be less hard on yourself. Also? Much love headed your way.
I'm glad to hear the reading went well! I want pictures!
So, today is technically the first day of Spring Break. And I seem to be in the middle of Pukefest 2008. I was supposed to have study group today, and I called to cancel. My friend was like, "What is with your body this year?!" I can't say I disagree!
In fun news, though, mom and I went to the New England Flower and Garden Show last night. We go every year. It was actually kind of a dud this year, but two of the winners of the kids poster contest were from the school where I teach at after care. The third-grader is also the big sister of one of my Sunday School students. She was SO adorable and SO excited about her prizes. It was pretty priceless. And, the eight-grader got first place in her category AND Best in Show! So fabulous!
sorry you aren't feeling well today, vw. I suspect however that you have a good 6 months before you will really feel well. Something about getting three diseases at once makes your body overreact to any passing germ.
now for breakfast
JZ, I'm glad you have the information that confirms that THEY are crazy. . . now you can really move forward.
It's very overcast here but warm. Not as warm as yesterday but still w/i the Spring range.
I have been to the post office, gotten myself lunch and purchased kitty litter.
I bought the litter at Walgreen's where I also picked up Mrs. Fields' dark choco peppermint cream sticks. . I had not realized before today that Mrs. Fields was not in the candy business.
There was also a startling new "limited edition" Snickers bar on display at the cash register: complete with extra protein, caffeine and other odd alpha-numeric additives. (Vitamins, perhaps?) Very odd.
We have a cat! Taz is in the building! He's predictably freaked out, wandering around mewing. But he does approach us for pats and skritches and snuggles, so I figure that's a good sign this early in the adjustment process. But he is totally OMGWTFWHEREAMI???
he's checking out every little corner and hiding spot. He keeps checking out the stairs, all, "hmmmm" but hasn't gotten the nerve up to go up them.
Congratulations!!!
Now, Nilly up the link to Taz because I can't recall which one he is.
I recently discovered that the Whimsical Tarot is out of print. TRAGIC! And I was pissed off at myself for not buying it at anytime during the past umpteen years that it was in the back of my head as a deck I wanted but just didn't get around to.
So, I googled and found it here - at an ADORABLE toy store site which has a brick and morter store in Texas and one of the proprieters teaches Fantasy literature at Texas Tech. It's alot of fun.
Ooh I like it. PoMo Tarot is my fave.
JZ, sounds like a blessing in disguise that you got let go early on - a revolving door position like that is guaranteed to be the fault of the boss and not the hires.
I'm feeling slightly less like I was hit by a truck today, but a family of porcupines seems to have moved into my throat, and I'm cold. DH is out at a screening and I've done all the baby-chasing I can handle for one morning, so Dylan is in the exersaucer. Thankfully he's enjoying it. Fingers crossed his mood will last until naptime so I can lounge here on the internets and drink my orange juice.
Yay Taz!
