Angel: Yeah, I never told anyone about this, but I-I liked your poems. Spike: You like Barry Manilow.

Spike's Bitches 39: Cuppa Tea, Cuppa Tea, Almost Got Shagged, Cuppa Tea...

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

One of the seminars I missed was the grad student seminar. It looked interesting, and it's kind of rude to miss it, but it's not the end of the world. The other seminar, though, was by someone who was visiting the university just for this week, and is someone that it would be really good, career-wise, for me to make contact with. And this seminar would have had about ten people attending, with a question session afterwards, and possibly also lunch with the speaker.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

For Aims: thread about the name Emeline (or Emmaline). Peeps love it :)

All is well that ends in pizza.

Hil, if you slept through your alarm and most of the day, you needed it.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

I'm really quite envious of Pi Day. We don't have it, nor will it be a concept that ever crosses the pond, because of course in my world it's 14.03.08 - to the point that I hadn't figured out why it was Pi Day in the States for the longest time during the conversation (although it did occur to me before Teppy spelled it out, happily).

sighs

Still - YAY PI(E)!

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I just got up and made a Shepherd's Pi(e) since I don't have the makings for regular pie. Now I can't wait til it comes out of the oven.

Mostly lurking...

Oh, Hil! How frustrating!

I'm very jealous of brenda's Shepherd's Pi(e), even though I had a yummy chimichanga for dinner.

So fun tonight. So tired.

I also came home from work and set a Tivo season pass for Friends. And I bought the ingredients for cheese soufflé. I'm starting to think I'm too impressionable.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Nah, those are perfectly reasonable things to do, whatever the inspiration.

I think I will be Pi(e)-less today. I will make an effort to observe Pi Approximation Day when it comes around. My pies are really more of approximations, anyway.

If anyone is keeping score at home, temp is now 99.0 and further evidence (which I will spare you) suggests gastroenteritis. My doc will see me on Tuesday.

That's too bad you missed that seminar and your train, Hil. When you need sleep, you need sleep, though.

Our wings are not tired.

Tuesday! Oh dear, may you find relief sooner than that.

Having the appointment makes it easier. I'm not in excruciating pain or anything, just kind of icky. Thanks for the thought, I certainly hope so, too.
