[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

gotta hate it when your pinky conspires against you like that. CHOP IT OFF!

Hey, I almost did this last night! Was trimming wicks of new candles to burn and the pinky got in the way. OUCH! It is purple and ugly today.

ouch!

today's box office cashier has brought in a Doors CD. It's trippy and weird listening to this music at work, 10 years after my Serious Doors Obsession had faded away. I'm having a very anachronistic day.

Does anybody recall an old SNL short called (I think) "Babies in Makeup" that was to the tune of The Doors, "Alabama Song"? I've been trying to find it on YouTube with no luck. My memory of the short is fuzzy but I'm sure there was at least one baby dressed up like a dominatrix. Perhaps these days this would be considered too close to child pornography.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

Doors obsession! Now I'm hankering for some. Alas, I get to listen to oboe/piano scene change music... mmm joy. Also, it smells like someone has stepped in doggy doo. Why does this theater hold smells?!?!

He's an idiot director. He also isn't a very good one.
I'm hoping this isn't what is said about me by my actors...
ND and I aren't actors. We are far worse than that. We are Sound! (insert triumphant sound stinger here)

As for plans this weekend. I was hoping to have swung off this show and chillin' and doing laundry. Alas, this production seems to have a death grip on me, and will.not.let.GO. AAaarrrgggghhhh. Where is Buffy to save me and put a stake in this thing? Tomorrow I am NOT coming in. I have to start work on the next show on Monday, and I'm not going 14 days with no day off. NO FLIPPIN' WAY!

ION, I got through Easy level of Guitar Hero III last night! WTF is up with the end credits song?? Messed up!

It is bizarre how ingrained this music is in me. Right now it's "Spanish Caravan" and I really can't help but tap my desk in time to the downbeats.

Five minutes ago I started blabbing to the cashier about how if there's any song that really resonates with her she should go find the original album because each one has it's own tone and blah blah blah arty-cakes blah. I got embarassed listening to myself.

I probably haven't listened to a single doors album start to finish in ten years.

Our wings are not tired

Omnis is this the same needy designer you've been dealing with for the past few weeks?

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Bah. just got back from the funeral of a 25 year old beloved son, brother, nephew, friend. It sucked. There was so much grief and pain. It was hard and horrible and I hope I never have to go through something like that again. I hope no one here does.

Just call me "Siouxsie Shunshine".

ND and I aren't actors. We are far worse than that. We are Sound!

Yes, I am very familiar with ND's amazing sound prowess. Actually, I am in awe of his talent.

I lament my lack of sound ability. I got sucked into lighting quite a bit. These days day's I am 'just' a lowly Drama teacher. (which seems to translate into "chief cook and bottle washer")

Sorry you are dealing with "problem people," Omnis!
