Jayne (Husband): Oh, I think you might wanna reconsider that last part. See, I married me a powerful ugly creature. Mal (Wife): How can you say that? How can you shame me in front of new people? Jayne (Husband): If I could make you purtier, I would. Mal (Wife): You are not the man I met a year ago.

Spike's Bitches 39: Cuppa Tea, Cuppa Tea, Almost Got Shagged, Cuppa Tea...

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

If I had stayed married, I would have been a step-grandmother at 26. My DExH's eldest daughter was 6 years younger than me and got preggers at 20.

Lordy, I married on my 21st birthday but had no more idea to be a mother than the man in the moon. Fortunately, my husband beat me to the snippage department, so that wasn't an issue.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

SO spendy for, what I'm given to understand is a lot of reading and not much wow.

Actually, it's a lot of fun, and there are some cool interactive exhibits. I probably would have been less impressed if I'd paid for it (I took students). I also would caution against weekends, there are a LOT of children there. I also caution against March in general, since it's spring break for a lot of kids, and they are on vacation here.

tap, tap, tap...tapping my foot.

Out of town friend had a bad flight...so instead of meeting us at 10am, she went to bed...was supposed to call after my 1pm appointment but I haven't heard from her.

Should I let her sleep or should I get her up so that she sleeps later? What ARE the rules with W to E jet lag?

A sound point, which I actually did make...but I think there was a desire to see Cherry Blossoms...though I did stress that the festival isn't until the end of the month.

Haven't been down to the Basin lately. ARE there any blossoms out?

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

We're at our layover in Charlotte. This airport is so big and each of those little tram type things aren't allowed to leave their terminal, so we had to get on 3 different ones to get to our gate. We have a long wait until our next flight. Plenty of time to catch up with my comics.

I can't imagine being a grandmother that young. I'm 30 and can just about imagine being a mom.

not your mom's socks.

bonny - even if there aren't many blossoms out, the freer and sackler have a number of cherry blossom related events this month. [link]

Thanks, Perkins! Today is all about getting there, finding our way to T's and having a big plate of pasta before getting some sleep. T's mom is a fabulous cook, so I'm really looking forward to the pasta.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

She's 38. Has an 18 year old, who has a four month old

Yoinks!

Sometimes I freak out when I think about how old I'll be when my kids actually grow up and start considering having children. But then I look at my little noodles and I decide that the kids, whatever my age, are totally worth it.
