On the meme front the multiple 17+ hour days with no breaks caught up with me and I have now experienced the shipboard health center. I have a bronchial infection. Joy. The fever and chills just add the joy of this little project.

Thank you, everyone, for all of your good wishes today. I know that a cat’s life pales in comparison to fear about family, but he means so much to me. Sean agreed to feed the kitties this weekend, so I should still be able to get to Seattle. Surgery is scheduled for Monday. I am trying to work out a way to get him in without missing classes that morning. The vet seems optimistic.

Oh, crap, Drew. The body does tend to rebel after little sleep and working so hard. I'm sorry- I hope it clears up quickly and you're able to finish this cruise in relative comfort. And perhaps you can take off a sick week when you return. I know it probably seems impossible, but your health comes first and you may need to weigh the loss of a week preventing something full blown that may lay you out for several weeks.

Heh, I feel proud to have a Hec endorsement of cat choice! Seriously, shelters should video all animals, because you get such a better idea of their personalities. Taz is super smart and independent, Tom theorizes that he will be busy (during the day while we are at work) solving crimes. He seems like a crime solving cat!
