Buffy? I like that. That girl's so hot, she's buffy.

Spike's Bitches 39: Cuppa Tea, Cuppa Tea, Almost Got Shagged, Cuppa Tea...

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Is it too early for bed? I'm SO wiped!

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

Good Josie! Eat! Be Loved! Stay at home! So happy to hear GC.

Part of me totally wants to go to a sex club, but something tells me the shy, blushy guy would come out more than the pervy horny guy. It would be a curious social experiment. Not like there is a chance of it happening anytime soon. Either way, sorry Meara it wasn't more fun for you. Nothing worse than great expectations being a total let down.

OMG so tired. Tired enough to type OMG.
OMG! KT was up that late?!? That never happens.
Have you all switched to DST now?
Ha. I was about to go to bed, saw it only 1:15. Picked up a magazine and started reading. Looked up to see it 3:05 and was like "holy shit am I reading slow!". Head to bed to see the clocks say 2:05, and remembered the time switch (living room cable box did it automatically).

ION, I have an unexpected day off today. Woot! Yipee. Now I have no excuse to NOT get my tax info together. Dang.

Compassionately intolerant

If last night had been Vaudville, my puppy would have gotten the hook because, as usual, seeing that there were treats in the house she immediately went center stage and demanded some with her beagle bark.

But she worked for it! And not just in the exponential contribution to world-wide cute...she did puppy push ups like a champ. She really made everyone there happy just to be around her.

also a very cruel taskmaster -- poor Bartleby

And he'll be very glad to tell you all about it. Especially if you'd like to have a heart to heart over some 'cookies' while drowning in his big brown eyes.

He was mostly good, bless him. Ironically, the woman he kept running up on is not his biggest fan. Not really sure what is up with that. But the tall guy with the beard and cap? He's Bartleby's best friend's person. HE is a hero in the dog world.

I should say, the kid who was made of fail when it came to passing out the paperwork is the faux son of whom I've spoken here. He's pretty cute too...except when I want to fling my open palm sharply up and across the back of his pea-brain having head.

No worries about the pic being public. Thanks so much for taking it. I think it will end up on the doggy lama event page!

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

We are back home chilling out after a nice weekend. Yesterday, after our trip to the shelter, we went into Cambridge for the Cambridge Brewing Company's Brewer's Dinner. We also were able to score a deal on a local hotel so we were not beholden to the train schedule (with a 5 course beer paired meal, driving was out of the question). So it was a little mini vacation kind of thing.

I had: the sweet pea soup, the chilled blackened sirloin, the shrimp and avocado salad, the cornish game hen, and the key lime tartlet. The food was amazing and the beers were WONDERFUL, especially the Saison Noir.

Tom had: seafood paella bisque, blue marlin carpacchio (paired with an amazing cask conditioned dry hopped pale ale), arugula salad, seared tuna, and the candied carrot cupcake.

After dinner, we went to a friend's place nearby and kicked back listening to music and drinking beers. Oh! We played Guitar Hero. OMG I suck at it. However, our friends loaned us their old (non-wireless) guitars and a couple of the games. So I can practice in the privacy of my own home!

This morning we went to our old favorite breakfast place (Soundbites) and then went back to the CBC for another glass of the Saison Noir. Now we're home watching TiVo and making pizza. A nice weekend.

Our wings are not tired.

Attn NoiseDesign! I don't know where you are going to be Tuesday at 2:28am, but if you are near Kennedy Space Center, or Orlando, or really within 100 miles of the place, there will be a shuttle launch worth watching. The night launches are awesome. DH and I were discussing sending the kids to bed then driving up to watch then driving back home. More likely I will set my alarm and just watch from home because the night launches are easy to see.

The kids have brought this over to the house a couple times, but I was unwilling to try it and be mocked by the teens. It looked hard!

I am SO glad I'm not the only one! My brothers totally rock, and I just embarrass myself.

I know, right? My friend was all, "Oh, it's super easy! My parents play it!" Um... I don't do much gaming (the Wii was the first game system I ever tried) so my brain/finger and hand/eye coordination is not really developed. Hard. But it was cool the few times I got it right for, like, a millisecond.

My SIL and I kept bitching about how stupid it was, then she played and was good and kind of loved it. So, now I'm all alone in my bitching. Good thing I have my Bitches to understand!

Also, Nora, check your e-mail in a sec.

Ooh, that sounds delish, Nora! And Guitar Hero is much fun.
