I kissed him, and I told him that I loved him. And I killed him.

Spike's Bitches 39: Cuppa Tea, Cuppa Tea, Almost Got Shagged, Cuppa Tea...

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

GC - what everyone else said. Damn, love, you are DEFINITELY due some good karma.

Ugh, yeah, the "teaching our children" thing...y'know, some of those children are gay. And having to be taught by bigots isn't any better!

SO much this.

I'm liking Stonewall's new whatchamacallit, catchphrase thingy:

Some people are gay. Get over it.

(John Barrowman is apparently leading the publicity campaign. Bless his spotlight-seeking little ass.)

t First World Trauma:

So, today's discovery: shiitake mushrooms are unexpectedly high in carbs! Crap! There I was thinking I'd had a pretty on-plan kind of day. Arse.

On the bright side, I went to the gym AND had a half hour swim afterwards, and spent several hours shopping. So that must help counterbalance the mushrooms. Still - bugger.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Ooookay. I thought I posted something else.

I know I meant to comment on the delightful idea of loonie-repelling undies. Laga, will your mom make some for the rest of us, do you think?

I think I was so baffled by my own crap yesterday, as well as the utter lunacy of the petition-signing woman, I forgot to say, Go Laga! I rather like what you said.

Fay, I'm sorry to hear that you had some stealth carbs. Cheating is much more fun when you do it on purpose, and also get chocolate out of it.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

We done been snowpocalypsed. It's a good thing I stopped at Trader Joe's yesterday, or we'd be roasting and eating the couch cushions today. It's total White Death out there, with the police warning people that they'll be ticketed if they're driving, etc.

But I have coffee, so it's all good.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Teppy, stay safe and warm today. I think we're supposed to be getting rainocalypse today.

Compassionately intolerant

also I seem to recall my dog bonking me in the nose this morning in her exuberance over the fact that she was awake and I was awake and wasn't that an amazingly happy coincidence

I love that moment in the morning. Such joy!

I'm on the fence about wanting my very own set of loonie repelling undies. On the face of it...a smart accessory...but, on further contemplation, I wonder about the potenially lethal boredom of living in no-loonies world.

Our wings are not tired.

Yay snowpocalypse! Thanks for the pretty pictures.

Mom says: ...well, be sure and wear your "loony repelling" undies!

Oh! I want some of these too.

After spending 3 fruitless hours trying to figure out a network problem yesterday, this morning I notice that the workstation had McAfee firewall set up. Yes, this is why people can't see your shared printer. Too much of my time is spent figuring out stuff that has nothing to do with my software.

Art Crawl!!!

I went and voted. It didn't feel as cold as I thought it would given the temperature. Nice how at the end of winter 15 doesn't feel too bad. Plus, it's sunny.

The only bad thing is that the sidewalks are so sucky. Perfectly fine in one spot, like a frozen pond in another and then the dreaded stealth ice that looks like dry pavement but isn't.

The stealth ice got me and after that I walked on the road. (Mostly not that busy.)

All is well that ends in pizza.

One of the people calling us this week insisted that their LAN cable was making "a whining noise."

Our wings are not tired.

I could understand the computer whining at some of my users. Honestly, I have very bright users, mostly doctors and nurses. They are willing and able to follow instructions. They just don't naturally understand how their actions may hose their systems. Yes, the web radio station, weather bug, google notify, yahoo messanger, and animated desktop background just might be slowing down your application. Maybe.
