I'm fairly certain I said no interruptions.

Spike's Bitches 39: Cuppa Tea, Cuppa Tea, Almost Got Shagged, Cuppa Tea...

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Compassionately intolerant

bonny, how'd your sessions go today?

Great, thanks!

I was really pleased that the first one, which I thought might be difficult, went better than I could have hoped. The second one also went really well and resulted in a request for another session next weekend. YAY!

Both dogs were sweeties, one very old and one untrained. Both the people were open to direction and seemed to really soak up the advice.

It was also a good opportunity to assess how I'll do these in future. 1) I need to find a place where I meet people regularly. The travel time between appointments is a problem if I am going to be scampering all over the Hill on foot.

AND, I need a standard set of tips that I give everyone at the outset.

I'm thinking of calling them The Grounding Rules. Is that something a doggy lama would offer? Or is it too much of a pun?

eta: Hm. Just as I hit send, it occurred to me that the catch phrase sounds like an apprentice program for optometrists.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

I don't have beer. I do have whiskey. I put it in my hot chocolate.

I'm going to have a headache tomorrow. It is unrelated to the whiskey in the hot cocoa.

I got kicked in the nose today while utterly failing to properly restrain a violent resident.

Speaking of which, do I call to report the injury to the supervisor now, at 9:30 (I'd more or less forgotten about it until I blew my nose a bit ago). I mean, it's after hours, and I do not currently need medical attention. It got a brief mention in the report on the resident's behavior/restraint, but at the time I was more interested in the new shirt and bra I'll be getting out of the deal.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

WindSparrow if I was your supervisor I'd prefer you report it tomorrow morning.

edit: now my nose hurts!

It's nice to see some brave pretenders trying to make it interesting.

I just watched Kinky Boots. That was fun!

Laga, you are not to absorb the pain from my injury. Don't make me get out the crystals and the smudge sticks!

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I emailed my Mom about the marriage between one man and one woman petitioner and then I remembered that they're debating this in the supreme court of California right now so of course the loonies are out in force right now.

Mom says: ...well, be sure and wear your "loony repelling" undies!

also I seem to recall my dog bonking me in the nose this morning in her exuberance over the fact that she was awake and I was awake and wasn't that an amazingly happy coincidence

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

GC - what everyone else said. Damn, love, you are DEFINITELY due some good karma.

Ugh, yeah, the "teaching our children" thing...y'know, some of those children are gay. And having to be taught by bigots isn't any better!

SO much this.

I'm liking Stonewall's new whatchamacallit, catchphrase thingy:

Some people are gay. Get over it.

(John Barrowman is apparently leading the publicity campaign. Bless his spotlight-seeking little ass.)

t First World Trauma:

So, today's discovery: shiitake mushrooms are unexpectedly high in carbs! Crap! There I was thinking I'd had a pretty on-plan kind of day. Arse.

On the bright side, I went to the gym AND had a half hour swim afterwards, and spent several hours shopping. So that must help counterbalance the mushrooms. Still - bugger.

Ooookay. I thought I posted something else.

I know I meant to comment on the delightful idea of loonie-repelling undies. Laga, will your mom make some for the rest of us, do you think?

I think I was so baffled by my own crap yesterday, as well as the utter lunacy of the petition-signing woman, I forgot to say, Go Laga! I rather like what you said.

Fay, I'm sorry to hear that you had some stealth carbs. Cheating is much more fun when you do it on purpose, and also get chocolate out of it.
