Hey! What a surprise! Hostile 17! Can I get you a drink, Hostile 17?

Spike's Bitches 39: Cuppa Tea, Cuppa Tea, Almost Got Shagged, Cuppa Tea...

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

Answers:

(1) Yes.

(2) Fuck, no. t edit Hiking boots, yes, but that was back in the day, before security required everyone to share foot fungus by taking off their shoes to go through the metal detector.

(3) Yes, even though the ungrateful sods don't deserve it.

(4) No.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

How many people leave a cash tip in their hotel room for the housekeepers?

I always mean to, but I tend to forget.

How many people were some form of stilletto or heels over 2.5 inches when flying? Or boots?

Heeled boots and a knee-length skirt, as a rule.

How many people buy a box of candy to take back to their office mates?

Not I!

How many people get cravings for a food or drink only when they travel? (Like, ordering tomato juice or bloody mary mix on the plane, when you normally don't drink it)

Me, but it's Diet Dr. Pepper.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I'm stealing Tep's formatting:

(1) Yes.

(2) Yes (boots - otherwise they take up too much space in my luggage!)

(3) Sometimes

(4) No.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Raq, talk about learning under pressure!

Kristin, sorry about the theft! That sucks ass. I am now less annoyed that our credit card company called us two nights back with questions about my charges to Livejournal and Moo (it was flagged because it's a UK charge).

It's the time of year when I have to renew all the subscriptions for my internet addictions hobbies like LJ, flickr, etc. so the flurry of charges freaked our bank out.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Not knowing the source of the theft is the most stressful thing. I don't know if someone has gained access to anything else, and I'm now paranoid as hell.

Yeah, I understand that. I would be the same way. {{Kristin}}

I don't know how this works. How much are you supposed to leave? I mean, certainly not 15%.

Compassionately intolerant

Adams Morgan late on a Friday or Saturday though - it seems to have gotten kind of rough (drunks picking fights, driving, etc.).

I've been hearing this and, wouldn't you know it...it's the one place she's asked to go.

Then again, I was on Santa Monica Pier with her and her husband some 22 years ago...the DH and I noticed a knife fight about the happen. We looked at each other with that "oh crap...we can't just walk away...let's get our tough on" look. I very quietly asked B to move to a safe location, not mentioning the pending fracas. She spotted the knife, walked right up to the guy...a visibly drugged vagrant...as if she was watching tv and screamed "He's got a KNIFE!!"

The guy went for her and I stepped between them, just missing getting the tip in my chest. I jumped back, into her, knocking her over and we both went down. Her husband advanced and the homeless guy was hit from behind by the guy he was about to knife.

I couldn't speak to her for a very, very long time...maybe months...I was so furious at the stupidity that could have gotten her killed.

Huh. Thanks Todd. I needed to remember that story before we hit the street.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

How many people leave a cash tip in their hotel room for the housekeepers?

I do. Usually $2 or $3 per night. More if we're extra messy.

How many people wear some form of stilletto or heels over 2.5 inches when flying? Or boots?

Used to until we had to "share the fungus" as Steph put it. Now I try to make it slip ons.

How many people buy a box of candy to take back to their office mates?

Not usually cause I only ever came to Michigan and I never really liked any of my co-workers that much.

How many people get cravings for a food or drink only when they travel? (Like, ordering tomato juice or bloody mary mix on the plane, when you normally don't drink it)

I *have* to have peanut M&M's when I fly. And ginger ale.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

How many people leave a cash tip in their hotel room for the housekeepers?

I always mean to, but I generally forget until after I have checked out and left the key.

How many people were some form of stilletto or heels over 2.5 inches when flying? Or boots?

Not me.

How many people buy a box of candy to take back to their office mates?

That would not occur to me.

How many people get cravings for a food or drink only when they travel? (Like, ordering tomato juice or bloody mary mix on the plane, when you normally don't drink it)

I do drink tomato juice or bloody mary mix more when flying than other times. I'm not sure if it's that the craving hits ore than or that it's easier to order some than if I was home and would have to go to the store. Or that I get all willing to indulge myself while travelling.

This is the only one I do. P-C, you leave ~$2 a day. I'll leave $5 for a weekend.
