thanks, ya'll!
Spike's Bitches 39: Cuppa Tea, Cuppa Tea, Almost Got Shagged, Cuppa Tea...
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
I'm not sure about vegetarian restaurants near Dupont - there's City Lights of China, which has vegetable options, but I can't think of anything else. If my brain kicks into gear, I'll post of anything else I think of.
For Ethiopian food - Meskerem on 18th Street (just south of Columbia Road) is very good. They have sampler platters, which are nice. I'd be wary of being in Adams Morgan late on a Friday or Saturday though - it seems to have gotten kind of rough (drunks picking fights, driving, etc.).
Thanks Megan. I will get on that.
Now a dryer in the bathroom goes on my lists of "wants" when I go looking for my new place in Denver.
What a horrible experience Raq! Bless your sheer heroism.Wow, Raq, I missed your story earlier. I'm going to point and nod at the comment above.
Kristin, blerg!! Someone else I know recently had that happen, and I keep waiting for it to happen to me. Right now, I'm paranoid that I have a Trojan on my computer just waiting to get into my bank account and steal my money.Ironically, I had just been thinking the other day that I use that card everywhere and wasn't I lucky to never have been robbed. Not knowing the source of the theft is the most stressful thing. I don't know if someone has gained access to anything else, and I'm now paranoid as hell.
OK, travel poll time:
How many people leave a cash tip in their hotel room for the housekeepers?
How many people wear some form of stilletto or heels over 2.5 inches when flying? Or boots?
How many people buy a box of candy to take back to their office mates?
How many people get cravings for a food or drink only when they travel? (Like, ordering tomato juice or bloody mary mix on the plane, when you normally don't drink it)
edited to change "were" to "wear" because I'm not that braindead.
Answers:
(1) Yes.
(2) Fuck, no. t edit Hiking boots, yes, but that was back in the day, before security required everyone to share foot fungus by taking off their shoes to go through the metal detector.
(3) Yes, even though the ungrateful sods don't deserve it.
(4) No.

I always mean to, but I tend to forget.

Heeled boots and a knee-length skirt, as a rule.

Not I!

Me, but it's Diet Dr. Pepper.
I'm stealing Tep's formatting:
(1) Yes.
(2) Yes (boots - otherwise they take up too much space in my luggage!)
(3) Sometimes
(4) No.
Raq, talk about learning under pressure!
Kristin, sorry about the theft! That sucks ass. I am now less annoyed that our credit card company called us two nights back with questions about my charges to Livejournal and Moo (it was flagged because it's a UK charge).
It's the time of year when I have to renew all the subscriptions for my internet addictions hobbies like LJ, flickr, etc. so the flurry of charges freaked our bank out.
Answers:
1) Yes.
2) Ha! No, I wear ballet flats that can take off easily.
3) Nope!
4) Not really.
