Spike's Bitches 39: Cuppa Tea, Cuppa Tea, Almost Got Shagged, Cuppa Tea...
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Lots of ~ma to your aunt, Trudy.
Cancer sucks.
Oh hell yes. It's my new mantra right now.
Gloomcookie, I'm so glad Jo seems to be hanging in there. May she be back to her old self soon.
Omnis, I'm glad you've had some good news. We needed some around here.
Tomorrow shall be a day of REALLY GREAT THINGS!
From your lips to the deities' ears, Empress.
Congratulations on the small rent increase, Susan. It's nice to be able to put down roots you don't have to yank out after a year.
Are you feeling any better, Raq?
Though I have no doubts about your teasing and backcombing technique.
Aquanet and a rat-tail comb, baby.

Missed Cindy's birthday drive-by. Damn.
My day was CRAZY.
- Liv got tested by a speech therapist this morning. (She's most likely going to qualify for services due to her lack of vocab and phrases.)
- Dropped Owen off at school, talked to his (new to him) teacher who returned from maternity leave.
- Took Liv to the library for an hour to play, then went for French fries.
- Picked up Owen.
- Came home for snack, realized that the obscenely expensive remote control had frozen up. All attempts to fix it resulted in bupkis.
- Blood pressure rising, packed kids into van and took them to the gym.
- Enjoyed yoga class. Shavasana was the only thing that kept blood from being spilt.
- Picked up burgers for dinner on the way home.
- Returned POS remote to Best Buy for half-assed refund (store credit, fuckers). Managed to keep my Zen.
- Argued with my twin sister on the phone over my choice of tax preparation services.
- Took hot bath.
Also booked flight for SiL to come visit us over her Spring Break and ordered two copies of WtVPPLtL so I can give them away as gifts.
The bonus of this craxy day was that when one of the guys in the day care at the gym asked Owen if he was his BFF, Owen replied with, "MOMMY'S MY BFF!"
Awww, go Owen with the day-saving cuteness!
Doll, you just got your hair cut. You're going to need a fall.
I'm so totally hating the cut today too. But yeah, a wig is in my future...I can backcomb like whoa but I need the length.
Hi Maria! I am currently feeling better, and dinner helped. It was:
- broiled salmon stuffed with lobster on a bed of risotto and scallops with garlic-tarragon berre blanc
- passion fruit ice tea
- vanilla creme brulee with fresh berries
Am currently drunk on food.
God, I want your dinner!
I had a nice breakfast-in-a-rush, does that count? I made a shake from coconut cream, a tablespoon of almond butter, five fresh Chang Mai strawberries and a dash of raspberry essence, a couple of icecubes and 2 sachets of sucralose, and called it A Berry Nutty Breakfast (...because I am amused by giving things names, even when there is no recipe or anyone else paying attention).
It was YUM, and made a nice change from scrambled eggs.

Whee! That's a smart boy (and so so dear). That's the sort of thing that makes a day worth it.
A few years ago, a door-to-door type person (a political campaigner? a salesman? a Sierra Club recruiter?) came to the door. Chris answered it with me, and started talking to the guy first, so I just stood there and let him, because it was all painfully cute. When Chris ran out of things to say, he asked the guy, "John, have you met my good friend Mommy?"
JZ and Matilda went to church wearing matching gingham dresses last Sunday. People were slain with the cutefulness. JZ had worried that matched dressing would be Too Much but apparently nobody does it anymore (at least around the Bay Area) so it was merely extra cute.
AWESOME!!!
Also? What color?
Good morning, Cindy!
Raq dinner sounds yum indeed. I want it for breakfast. But peanut butter on a muffin will have to do. Not a whitey muffin even, just english.
GREAT THINGS TODAY! GREAT THINGS!
vw, if I had known earlier, I totally would have shipped you my gingham dress and ruby slippers for your use today.
We got snow dumped on us last night. It's very white and craxy outside, but I'm learning to find the beauty. And that quiet when it is snowing? So durned quiet. Eeerie quiet. But, I love it.
I have my faux-cah latte and yogurt with granola for breakfast. Yummy.
Using computers and the Internet. That's about it.
You weren't doing those in high school, though.
Wow, Fay. I, uh, had... coffee. You and Aimee have me beat in the morning-food competitions, by approximately infinity.
