I heard it on NPR this morning. man with a tough life that did a lot.
'Bushwhacked'
Spike's Bitches 39: Cuppa Tea, Cuppa Tea, Almost Got Shagged, Cuppa Tea...
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
man with a tough life that did a lot.
very true.
ND, I changed my mind. I'm just wrapping up my school work now, so I might as well stick around for the second talk (which I admit I'm excited to hear). I will call you when I'm leaving.
Kristin, I fully admit to being more than a little jealous of you today. Hearing Kushner talk has to have been an amazing experience. I'm so glad you got to have this experience! (even if it did mean giving up some precious time away from ND)
No worries. I just got home about 10 minutes ago. See you when you get home.
Holy crap, one of my co-workers died this weekend. I didn't know him very well, but I knew him. Holy crap. I'm so confused.
Yeah. "It's always sudden."
Went to the funeral of a co-worker today, someone who worked in the cube-across-the-aisle from me all last fall. She moved to a different shift in November, so we've only seen each other in passing since then, long enough to say "Hi" and "Bye" and not much more.
Common cold to bronchitis to pneumonia to ICU with ventilator to staph infection to dead in 14 days.
Disconcerting.
I am at the laundromat. All 4 of the 5-load washers are running with about one load in each. There is more soap than clothes!! All I can think is, what a waste of water, not to mention them clothes gonna cause some major itch if all that soap doesn't rinse out.
Oh, God, dcp, that's awful. That poor woman.
And {{P-C}}.
Kitty~ma to GC's Josie.
Must go now. Hec is slounged on the couch and Matilda is cheerful, chatty and mellow; can't squander this opportunity for family time that doesn't involve heavy-duty baby wrangling/wrassling.
ok - I put this up on my blog for people having bad mondays
Aww.
I just finished reading The Subtle Knife. Want more book. Bookstore not open until the morning. Feh.
My students have a midterm tomorrow at 10. I'm wondering how many emails I'll get after midnight with questions about the material. My guess is three. (I've got 29 students. Many of whom get very perturbed if an email isn't answered within about two hours, even if it's sent in the the middle of the night. I know of some people who've set up email office hours -- just told everyone, "If you send me an email, it will be answered between three and four the next day.")
Oh! Also, my friend had her baby, but wasn't able to invite everyone to come to the birth, because the baby arrived really quickly -- she felt like she might be going into labor, went to the birthing center, and the baby was born literally two minutes after they got there. (This baby had very good timing. If he'd come about four hours earlier, it would have been while his mother was in the middle of a job interview.)
