Um...so, the joy of the trifecta? I think I bruised a rib or two. Ouch.
Please, don't anyone be funny for a few days. Laughing is the worst.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

KT, I feel your grading pain. Lesson plans and journals left to grade for the night. There are other papers to address; however, I just don't have the energy. Tomorrow night I get to write sub plans for Wednesday-Friday since I'll be at SETC in Chattanooga.
It's looking fatal for my laptop. It's looking like we will have to replace the hard drive. The closest computer shop that services Mac's is backed up for more than 2 weeks but 'might' be able to work us in for the minimum amount of work. (meaning, they'll bring a hard drive and install it but not check out anything else) The closest Mac store is in Tampa, 90 min away. I'm flying out of Tampa this week; however, my flight out is before the store opens and I return late on Saturday.
Of course this is happening at the worst possible time. I really needed my computer to be in working order when I'm out of town.

Huzzah! for beth_b new phone capabilities!!!
so, parking on my street has reached critical mass. for the second time this week, I haven't been able to find a space on the street. It was only a matter of time, and I have a parking space, so it's fine. It's kind of annoying, but inevitable.
My bro and SiL have been in town this weekend for a wedding, and I've gotten to see them a few times, which has been excellent. My bro continues to be the funniest human being alive. I'm getting up at the crack of dawn to take them to the airport tomorrow. Only for my bro would I do that, I swear.
Yesterday The Boy and I helped hand out free light bulbs to the more crime-ridden parts of our neighborhood, in a program sponsored by the neighborhood council. The idea is that if people turn their dang porch lights on, criminal activity is less likely to happen, because no one wants to commit crime where they can be seen and identified.
Anway, a highlight of the afternoon was the house we went to where we were greeted by a kitty on the steps to the house. We petted the kitty, and scritched it....and then noticed that, on the step below the cat, there was a BLOODY, SEVERED MOUSE HEAD. Seriously. It was all very Godfather. I laughed and laughed so hard that the cat ran off.
Things I learn from Public Radio:
Cheetah, the chimp who played Tarzan's companion of the same name back in the 30's and 40's is still alive and living in retirement in Palm Springs.
At 75, he's far and away the oldest living non-human primate known on earth.
Oh yah, Cheetah was featured in the LA Times magazine not too long ago. I kinda feel like a relative since Johnny Wesimuller is my grandmother's cousin.
Am impressed by Cheetah.
Am brain-leaky. Just finished grading 50 midterms. Have some make-ups to do next week, but am very proud. And brain-leaky.
Trying not to think about 61 narrative comments due a week from tomorrow that I haven't started.
Vortex, I feel your pain. My neighborhood is the WORST for parking. So bad, I managed to find a garage for rent only 1 block away... for $175/mo... SOOooo worth it, especially when working till midnight a lot.
ION, can someone please take iTunes away from me. I've been obsessing ALL FLIPPIN' DAY. Getting album artwork in, creating playlists, making sure album titles are good, renaming all the "Greatest Hits" albums so the are "(artist) - Greatest Hits" so they sort better... ... ya, and I'm still at it. Must. Eat. Food. And. Drink. Water.
