My flu has morphed into an endlessly running nose. Which I guess means my sinuses are draining or something, because the pressure in my head has gone all weird, which makes me feel a little tipsy.
This was me, yesterday. The tipsy feeling is gone today, if that helps. Feel better soon!
I'll be teaching here in October: [link]
Yay! The summer abroad program was the one thing I regretted not doing. Going for the CILI certificate gave me the perfect reason, but it never came together. Are you working with Dr. L on this?
Sox, that's a beautiful house! You obviously took great care in restoring and updating it. I love the tilework in the bathroom, and the reading nook looks so cozy. Now to the important stuff: May your realtor break his fingers installing his next "For Sale" sign, lose his business cards and cell phone forever, and trip himself up in the strings from open house ballons, tossing him into a muddy front yard every time. And may everyone in his geographic region decide to use another realtor, because nothing says "You suck!" better than no commissions.
My DH told me this morning that he hadn't gone to the Post Office with something like he'd promised me (two weeks ago) because he's "been busy." I called BS on this excuse, he whined, fumed, and finally sent it off today. He just sent me an email to apologize for being an arse since the task took him seven minutes.
Are you sure we didn't marry the same man? These DHs of ours make me want to bang my head on the wall sometimes.
So, when I find out TODAY that I'll be getting a 1099 that should apply to the taxes I ALREADY FILED, well, I get a bit HACKED OFF.
I don't blame you. Go back and file an amended return, though. I forgot (with a W-2 for chump change) and it triggered an audit. That nightmare was with me for a little over a year by the time it was all said and done. I wouldn't wish that process on anyone, including a neo-con.
