I am trying again for the pizza tonight. I am going to pick it up. which I have to do because the (&*%&$$ incompetent computer people JUST gave me my applications for my summer program, and I have to notify by March 1. Yes, Saturday. So, I will be taking work home tonight to attempt to put a dent into it. Because I walked today and don't want to carry home 200 pages, I will be driving back, picking up the paperwork, then the pizza. Question is -- sausage and mushroom or chicken and bacon?

I'm finished. No more appointments tonight. Lots of paperwork stuff, though, so I guess I should do some of that before I forget what my notes should be. And maybe stream Eli Stone. It's more than 17 days post contract, right? I enjoyed last week's ep.
I should also look at javachik's photos from when she was here.
So much to do! It is only 7 pm though, so shouldn't be too bad.

I'm back at Capitol Records again. Today we are recording the sounds that the mutant toys make. We have someone in the studio banging on pots and pans and brake drums. A moment ago he was playing a washboard.
I'm getting paid for this.

I have finally finished a draft of my personal statement for the Chaucer seminar. I sent it to a sympathetic colleague for a proof and feedback and am paralyzed with the fear that she will say it sucks and needs to be completely rewritten.

My sister (the younger one, not the one in China) writes nearly all of her emails in lolspeak and it drives me BATTY because I *know* she can write well and professionally when she tries. Such as when she's sharing her students' artwork online - those emails include friends and family AND colleagues and former professors, and are written just beautifully, with not only correct spelling and punctuation, but elegantly constructed sentences and intelligent word choices. So when I get a personal email in lolspeak it makes me want to scream WHY MUST YOU DO THIS TO MEEEEEEEEE?? WHY THE LOLS?????? WHYYYYYY??????
