We have to see the chimp playing hockey! That's hilarious! The ice is so slippery, and, and monkeys are all irrational. We have to see this!

Spike's Bitches 39: Cuppa Tea, Cuppa Tea, Almost Got Shagged, Cuppa Tea...

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Aimee, I'm so sorry that your co-worker has to deal with all of this.

I'm finally home and my wallet was happily waiting for me on the kitchen table.

I doubt she'd be thrilled to know that a co-worker's invisible friend is compassion-stalking her.
I love "compassion-stalking."

I have been teaching all day. Now I am sitting around in a tie waiting for the dress rehearsal of the student one-acts. (It's opposite day here at school. Normally we are the [School Name] School for Girls. Today we are the [School Name] School for Boys. We're pretty much all in drag, except for my two baby goths, who showed up wearing hot pink and rainbows. I nearly peed myself.)

Now tagless for your comfort.

DH had a come to Jesus phone call with our realtor. She's going to start riding herd on the contractor or find another one.

And we've entered encountered a bump in the road with our corporate buyout. Seems they've found mold in our basement. But we've already contracted for $2K to have it mitigated and signed the damned offer forms so I don't think they can legally withdraw their offer. Fuck. DH had to get stern with the human resources department.

The good news, though, is that DH had a meeting with his boss today and got a raise--after only working there for three months! His boss said that he "was a strong candidate but he's exceeded every expectation" and they wanted to show that. He got 2.5% on his already very attractive salary.

Jilli, did you see what I just edited above to add about my baby goths? I thought it would make you giggle.

Frankenbuddha's gonna have to choke a software engineer.

Ah, the eternal bitterness between QA and software engineers (I usually hear the reverse). Heh.

That's because code always "works" perfectly until QA gets it's hands on it. Unit testing my ASS!

I'm a sysadmin, and I want to choke software engineers and QA engineers.

also? In response to a recent request for a DTD from a "software" company? I got:

- I'm not sure I understand the meaning of DTD in relation to our XML import/export software.

(sent them the definition of DTD)

- oh. Well, we didn't think that was necessary for this product. Just send us your questions when you have them and we'll tell you what that points to.

Our wings are not tired.

Yay for more cash, Cash!

The Obama stuff makes me sick. I voted for Clinton, but it had absolutely nothing to do with ignorant lies and rumors.

The last couple election rounds my greatest fears were realized when so many people voted for a person that should never have been allowed to be president. This time around I wasn't afraid of any of the major candidates. I could understand why people supported each and every one of them. None of them appeared to be stupid or evil. When one of these current candidates become president I won't be curled in a ball crying. It may not be my first choice, but I am grateful that I'm not sickened by any of them.

It was very tense in social situations with Bush supporters. I have respect for Obama and McCain supporters. I understand where they are coming from. This is a relief for this non-confrontational voter. (insert apologies to any possible Bush fans, sorry, I just don't understand)
