Grrrrrr. Sounds like the realtor and contractor were counting on you not stopping by.
Since ND's show is on a ship just a couple hours up the road from me I checked the pricing to Wonder at his show. The 3 day trip is $1745 for us with the resident discount. I think I'll wait to see a land based show. It's been forever since we were on a cruise. Now I remember why.
Today's task is to once again sabotage the kid's computer. It is tricky business to block all the stuff they aren't supposed to be doing while allowing email, school, and research access. Every time I go in my son has made himself administrator and undone all my efforts. It is a game we play. We don't discuss it. I think I got him this time.
I think I'm going to call the realtor and see what she has to say.
Laura, good luck staying one step ahead. I tremble to think of the level of effeciency I'll have to obtain to monitor my kids computer habits when the time comes.
Oh, kids are good at this stuff. Blocking a specific website does nothing since they go there via proxy hosts or some such. They keep me on my toes. I don't want to sit and monitor them, but I can pop in on their screen anytime. It only matters when they are grounded for grades. If they have good grades they can live in World of Warcraft and MySpace. If their grades suck, so does life.
Bwah! I got the funniest card from my little brother. Jim is the same age as me for 18 days, then I am older than him again. As in, we were born less than a year apart. Anyway, it cracked me up, including the alternate ending. [link]
Oh, Laura. That's... that's... the best take on that
opera
since Bugs.
Who wants to bet our realtor hasn't steped foot inside the house in months?
I think I'm going to call the realtor and see what she has to say.
that she has been secretly being Sox's "realtor" also? Seriously?!?! What in the h do you people have going on that is taxing your time? Too many house closings? No? What.

Cashmere - we had a conversation with our "realtor" (in public, in front of several people who could make his life ugly) where I asked him to do a bunch of things for us (like break a sweat). Amazingly enough, it took witnesses, but he did them. I think it's a tree falls in a forest thing. The witnesses are key. Is there someone who can check in on your person/house every once in a while?
The thing is much freakier in person. I think that is part of its powers.
That links needs to be labeled NWS. Or something.
Survived night one without Belinda visiting me. I made sure my door was closed nice and tight.
Sox, I think she wrote us off because we refused to spand money on some of her minor suggestions, like channging light fixtures, etc. And she knows we're 1000 miles away.
But we used HER contactor and her carpet dude. There hasn't been a single showing. Not that it would show well with the crap work done or the giant pile of trash in the hall.
I'm going to spring a trap for her since she is unaware I'm in town. I'll ask her if she's seen the work that we were told was completed (and we sent the final payment for). If she lies to me, that's it. She's done.
Honestly, she should be happy we've got the buyout. Especially in this market.
