You never know if a girl's gonna say 'yes', or if she's gonna laugh in your face and pull out your still-beating heart and crush it into the ground with her heel.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

Hil, I'm not too far off from you. Curled up on couch in soft sweatpants and hoodie, had a nice big bowl of sorbet, cataloging CD's and ripping them again. God this takes a long time. Quite the hot date night, doncha think?

OK, so hivemind question. It seems I may have a date next week, thanks to some e-mail exchanges in match.com. It seems she's a hiking/outdoorsy type, which is great... except I'm not so good at the hiking, what with the sticks and all. It seems like it is a key hobby of hers, next to reading. Do I make a point of being on the sticks before the date? (clearly still self conscious about this, even at 36)

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Omnis, I think I'd say not to make a point of it before the date unless it comes up naturally, but I'm not sure. I can't think of a way to make, "By the way, I noticed you like hiking. I use crutches" not be awkward. But I'm not sure. I don't think that, just because she likes hiking, she expects everyone else to, too.

Our wings are not tired

Can't wait to come home. Sound and Video automation is making my head throb.

It's starting to look like a real show, it's just been a lot of very long nights getting here. Cricket has been doing most of the sound programming for the past two days while I've been fighting with the video automation. It's a bummer that I won't be able to invite more folks to come and see this show.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

I'm finding it a little disturbing how much I can relate to xkcd: [link]

Hil, what's the solution to that one, using that menu?

Now tagless for your comfort.

Trudy, I actually WAS given a replacement twin! Only she's a petite, Type A Lawyer, so I think I got screwd on the deal.

The friend I'm staying with has seven cats. Two of them slept with me and the rest got me up at 6. I suspect I've accidently stepped into Hec's private hell.

I'm so pissed. Stopped by the old house last night and the mistakes the contractor made are STILL not fixed and there is a pile of old newspapers in the hall. Who wants to bet our realtor hasn't steped foot inside the house in months?

Grrrrrr. Sounds like the realtor and contractor were counting on you not stopping by.

Since ND's show is on a ship just a couple hours up the road from me I checked the pricing to Wonder at his show. The 3 day trip is $1745 for us with the resident discount. I think I'll wait to see a land based show. It's been forever since we were on a cruise. Now I remember why.

Today's task is to once again sabotage the kid's computer. It is tricky business to block all the stuff they aren't supposed to be doing while allowing email, school, and research access. Every time I go in my son has made himself administrator and undone all my efforts. It is a game we play. We don't discuss it. I think I got him this time.

I think I'm going to call the realtor and see what she has to say.

Laura, good luck staying one step ahead. I tremble to think of the level of effeciency I'll have to obtain to monitor my kids computer habits when the time comes.
