Inara: So. Would you like to lecture me on the wickedness of my ways? Book: I brought you some supper, but if you'd prefer a lecture, I've a few very catchy ones prepped. Sin and hellfire... one has lepers.

Spike's Bitches 39: Cuppa Tea, Cuppa Tea, Almost Got Shagged, Cuppa Tea...

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I think I may never go to Colorado.

So, you are going to avoid me too? Geeesh.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

I have stuff to do a silk ribbon embroidery project, but I'm afraid of it.

It looks easy. Easier than cross stitch, at any rate. Or perhaps, the stitches may not be easier, but it looks like one would make faster progress, and so it would be more satisfying.

If you're close to Belinda? Tough call.

You know what should be easy to find and isn't? A 2" pink belt. I NEED ONE!

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Hil, I'm glad they are getting to the bottom of what's wrong with you. Nothing like a doctor who takes you seriously enough to bother looking for answers, is there?

Yep. Also, glad to find one who properly interprets "My mother had a double bypass at 39" as "Give me Lipitor." (For someone my age, my cholesterol is high, but not ridiculous. But. I'm not willing to wait and see. I've been on other med for a while, which had been keeping it around 170, but in the past year or so, it's gone up to about 210.)

Hot Topic? Claire's?

I'm having a boring Friday night. Curled up on the couch, reading old xkcd and eating boysenberry fruit leather. (Wearing flannel pants and an Israeli army t-shirt. The shirt was a gift -- I wouldn't have bought it myself, and I'm not comfortable wearing it in public, but it's the softest most comfortable t-shirt ever, so it makes good curled-up-on-couch clothes.)

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

That's an excellent question, Hec. My new theory is that I was snatched as an infant from Seattle and my secret twin, Plei, and placed with some scary but sweet Midwesterners.

Where you were given a replacement twin?

You rarely see that sort of consideration in mythic baby swaps.

Of course, if you were a Skywalker twin you'd be able to find the original family easily what with your name having been kept.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

{{{bitches what needs hugs}}}

I must have missed something about Belinda. Why's she so scary? That is my sister's craxy ex boss's name but I presume she's not hiding under your bed.

I have Popeye's with red beans and rice and I just found out I can watch This American Life on Netflix. Life is good.

I'm finding it a little disturbing how much I can relate to xkcd: [link]

The status is NOT quo.

Laga, "Belinda" is (apparently) the name of an abomination before man and God. It is a big furry white cat-thing with a baby face (trust me, this description does not begin to convey the horror). Hec's sister gave said abomination to Hec and LZ as a present for baby Matilda a while back, and the picture of this...thing...scarred many of us for life. For some reason, our dear Nicole decided that she wanted it, and so it became hers. She keeps it in the guest room closet. Which terrifies us all.

I would link to a picture, but I can't find one. You should feel happy about that since you will be spared the nightmares.
