My ringtone sounds like a phone, because I am cheap and have a crappy phone. On the other hand, I rarely use it, so I don't really care all that much.

In funny cat stories, I was lying on the couch this afternoon, and Freya came over and asked to be let underneath the blanket. She had started doing this when we had really cold weather and it was cold inside, and I think she decided that she likes it, because she keeps asking. Under the blanket, she soon turned into a kitty puddle on my leg. After a while, I shifted a bit, and she started kneading, which apparently threw her a bit off balance, because next thing, she was sliding off my leg. This was all that was necessary to wake her, and she started clinging to me for dear life, but I clipped her nails yesterday (yeah, me!!) and she couldn't hang on. Once she hit the floor, she of course walked off nonchalantly. But of course, she meant to do that. Of course.

I forgot to mention that I saw the juvenile eagle again today, flying around. His nest must be in the area, which is so totally cool.

I think a squirrel just attacked my chimney. It was very loud and terrifying. Clearly the squirrel received instructions from the Connecticut whatevercrittertriedtoattackTrudythroughawindow. GAH! That was loud and I think my heart tripped over itself. Also completely harmless. Which is why I suspect the East Coast connection.
Mail order possum?
So I just got home from the best drag show I have ever seen. It was at Hamburger Mary's in West Hollywood, and I had SO MUCH FUN!
Possum, yes. The squirrel took lessons from the possum. And then attacked my chimney with a fierceness that ... Okay, there was a sudden loud noise, I jumped and then it was over. But I thought of that possum.
Rereading, I seem to have finally found my linear and lost my sanity. Sleep.
We have wasted the day away. Talking politics. Talking life. Watching NASCAR. And watching some DVD's that I brought along. So far he has liked all the flicks (Hollywoodland, Thank You For Smoking, Hot Fuzz) I am trying to get him to watch Firefly or Serenity, as I think he'll like it. But for some reason he is hesitant. Dunno why. He leaves for Fla on Thursday. Not sure when he'll be back this way. With his little trailer, my Uncle will be a retired vagabond. Thankfully with e-mail.
Laga, I like your idea. I'll have to pop Princess Bride in when I get home and see if the clips audio is clean enough.
Sparky, if your wedding involves southward travel, you are more than welcome to shower on Capitol Hill. I'd even puppy sit!
Thanks so much for the offer, bonny! We'd arranged for our neighbor to puppy sit -- she has a beagle named Darwin who tolerates our little one very well. The note she left made it sound like Sass behaved. Don't think I won't keep you in mind should we ever have a function in the Capitol Hill area! Our beagle hates to be alone, (which should not be confused with "left alone" should she be sleeping comfortably).
The water came back after we'd gone to bed on Saturday -- it was silly of me to wonder how we'd know when the water came back, because it sounded like a wave was hitting the house as the pipes filled.
The wedding was very sweet, and the bride looked so happy. She had a very boobalicious corset dress, which I think made the pastor blush.
Now I have dragged my tired self into work and am waiting for my coffee to cool. I have decided against changing out of my sneakers and into heels until I finish this cuppa.
