It seems like Annabel got the message about being careful with computers even more so than we intended. One of the little interludes on Noggin this morning was something to do with a broken computer, and Annabel got visibly upset and ran off to a corner. I'd been so absorbed in my book I wasn't paying attention to the TV, so I asked her what was wrong, and she said, "The computer is BROKEN."
I told her not to worry, that our computer was just off at a workshop where people know how to fix such things and should be back in a few days, and generally soothed her.
Nothing in our house has broken today, which feels like a big step up after most of last week.
Later today she asked for a second refill on chocolate milk, and I commented that she was really thirsty for chocolate milk all of a sudden. She held her hand high over her head and said, "I want to grow up very tall. I want to be a GIANT." I asked her why she wanted to be a giant, and she said, "So I can stomp with my big, giant feet."
